Ever thought of a spotted section instead of one thread that is a crazy amount of pg's long? I did search on this and I didn't find anything, so i hope i'm not beatting a dead horse on this topic. Sorry if i am.

i think that a single thread works just fine. if there was a whole section i think it would be too cluttered. with 1 single thread to it, it saves space and is fairly easy to navigate since it doesnt grow very fast (1pg a day or so)

What would be the difference between a spotted section and a spotted thread?

the spotted thread is hard to keep track of...and in order for someone to see if they were spotted, they would have to scroll through pages and pages of posting just to check. If there were a spotted section, someone could title the thread "spotted so and so at someplace on someday" and that way people can just browse that page.

Plus, discussion on a certain car or any other off-topic chat can happen in one thread rather than cluttering up the one and only spotted thread.

Like Martin said, the thread doesn't move much at all, it shouldn't be that hard to keep track of it. And if you have to search farther back than the last couple of days to see if you were spotted, what's the point?

you could do a spotted section with a thread for each area of mn...like a TC one a south mn one, a duluth one etc...
