Spring Fever Rally Cross- May 25th

WHEN/WHERE: The next RallyCross Event will be held in Cannon Falls, MN on May 25th (Monday~Memorial Day)

Course Layout:
As the eventmaster for May 25th you can bet I'm going to make this course tough for Amy and Mark ......:biggrin:

Lunch:
I'm going to reach out to the other MNSOC Officers to make sure we have plenty of burnt, yet cold hotdogs for you to chew on during lunch!:yumyum: Of course, for a small donation

NEWBS:
If you have never participated in a Rally Cross event THIS venue is probably one of the best to learn on so sign up, show up, and get your car dirty dirty dirty!


Directions from HWY 52:
Take the Cannon Falls exit and head WEST on HWY 19 for 3.5 miles.
Turn LEFT on 30th AVE and go .5 miles. Turn LEFT on 325th St. and go
approximately .6 miles. The driveway to the event is on the left
hand side. Please park on the left of the driveway. Regardless of
what other internet directions might say, DO NOT TAKE 40th AVE TO
GET TO THE EVENT. The landowner would like to keep traffic off of
that street.

Online pre-registration is requested and strongly encouraged. It will make
day-of registration much easier.

Fees:
SCCA Members: $40.00
Non-SCCA Members*:$55.00

*Non-members are required to purchase an SCCA Weekend Membership for $15.00. The weekend membership can be used as a $15 discount on a full SCCA membership.

- All competitors and spectators must sign the official SCCA Waiver of
Liability.

- All minors present must have a minor waiver filled out.
Please download the registration and identification forms, and have
them filled out prior to the event.

- All forms are available on the LOL web site:

- All competitors MUST work the course as a condition of event entry.

- All competitors must have an FRS Radio, radios cannot be shared between competitors.

- All competitors must have a Snell 1995 or newer helmet. Loaner helmets are available but the quantity is limited.


Food & Gas:
Available in Cannon Falls, about 4 miles from the event site.

FRS RADIO RENTAL: MNSOC will offer radio rental for the event if you need. $5.00 with your DL

Registration: 9:00AM-10:00AM
Tech: 9:00AM-10:30AM
Course walk: 9:00AM-10:30AM
Driver's meeting: 10:45AM
Timed Runs Start: 11:00AM

 

im so there...I hope..switching jobs that week I think so I will have to cordinate with the new boss if and when i ever figure things out.

 

we have gravity park the weekend before, I may not be competing (yet again)

 

co drive if sheenis doesnt need a car..

 

if I was going to race, I'd race the rallycar - I just anticipate being burned out from a ton of rally rally rally rally the days before

Hmm.. seems to be a recurring problem. Interested in buying a nice OBS for your dedicated rallyx car? :biggrin:

I might come watch too, I'm not sure about competing, my new car feels too new to rallyx it, I want to be nice to it for at least a little while, and I don't want to rallyx my OBS while I'm trying to sell it. heh, somebody convince me I should keep the OBS for a rally car.

 

i will drive that POS at the rallycross as long as i dont have to pay my entry and clean it afterwords.... lol i would like soemthing FUN to drive.

BTW what is your new car?

 

I'd love to put a cage in the OBS and ice race/rallyx it. I just don't have a place to store an extra car and I don't have a truck/trailer to haul it to events.

The new car is an 03 sonic yellow wrx wagon, so, not new, but new to me. I need to get the coilovers off of it before I can rallyx it, waay too low I think.

 

I may be there to shoot photos again. I had fun last time we went down there.

I have some ksport gravel bits we could shoe-horn in for a weekend, i'm sure. Shouldn't be too hard to set them up with the tophats you already have. Dunno if carl still has the springs, though.

EDIT: hell, if we get something working you can have them. I don't need'em. I bet we could get them installed in under 2 hours.

EDIT: you have no excuse. My car has less has less than 50k on it and i've already busted up both bumper covers and dented the chassis & headers.

Chad, this is north, not south. Caravan point is usually the JC Penny parking lot in MG off of 94 and Weaver Lake Rd.

I'll definitely show up with the camera, but I may end up setting it aside. I happen to currently be in a position that'll give me a second set of wheels and tires, so... this could end with me running the Talon if i can afford the event fees and a car wash.
