ok. I've been having this debating with myself on which springs to get to go with my KYB AGX struts. At first I was thinking Eibach Sportlines kit but found out they discontinued that. Thinking about RS-R or TANABE but still not sure.
I wanted ProDrive but my budget right now is not for that price. Car Usage- daily work driven. Any recommanded springs?

Any body have any idea where i could get KYB SPRINGS?

With AGXs you won't want to drop the car too much at all, 1.25 to 1.5in max. Any more than that and you'll be replacing them much sooner than usual and they won't be warrantied. Also, you'll want to find something with a decently stiff spring rate to match up with the stiffer damping of the KYBs. What year is your car? That will make a difference in springs, as the 04+ springs are different than the 02-03. If you have an 04+ (or can find a set of 04 strut tops) you could just find a set of STI takeoff springs for cheap and call it a day, as those would give you 10mm lowering and up your springrates signifigantly over stock.

Martin, the S-Techs are far beyond that 1.25-1.5 in drop. They would murder a set of AGXs and they're crap springs to boot. Were you thinking of the H-techs?

Perhaps, i am not up on my tien stuff. are the AGXs that sensitive to reduced ride height? if so i might be in some trouble w/ my Pinks. my car sits like 2" lower than stock.

The AGXs do not like extreme lowering springs, and the other killer with the S-Techs is that not only do they drop the suspension out of its optimal travel range but the spring rates are not much stiffer than stock. You end up with a suspension that's dropped too far to travel correctly and it'll blow through what little travel it does because the spring isn't stiff enough to do anything about it. Your Pinks should have only dropped the car a little bit, you should be fine on those. What strut tops are you running? What (exact) springs?

I am running stock top hats with new KYB AGXs (front and rear). The springs are STi (after market STi, not OEM STi) from a V5 STi wagon. the springs were used, so i dont know exactly what they are. it isn't exactly a 2" drop. but i am tucking the tread on the rear wheel, and the fronts are close, its definitely a DROP.

here are some pics of the wagon the springs came from. (sorry for hijack)

I would say you should be alright, the spring rates are stiffer than stock and the drop isn't as severe as a set of S-Techs. /Panic :)

Go with a set of STI pinks. The rates are good, the drop is about right, and you can get them cheap.

Do you have the spacers you're going to need to run 02-03 struts with 04+ tophats? The AGX does not come in an 04 specific fitment so you're going to need those. The top of the strut shaft changed in 04, so your hats won't be compatible with the struts without doing either the "washer mod" or getting the premade spacers from www.TurnInConcepts.com You can stay with the STI springs, but as they're 04 springs you'll need 04 hats, so you need spacers. Stick with the STI springs as they'll be stiffer than most of the aftermarket options.

my 02 wrx is running with an 04 STi take-off suspension ....and im waiting for my AGX, and i want to lower my car as well im looking into Eibach prokit(i dont know which year should i go for), or prodrive 04 STi lowering spring....but heres a problem, i was talking to dave (scube steve) he said the front would fit, but not sure about the rear one, cuz the tophat is differnt. i wanna clarify about the AGX wont fit at all or just the springs wont fit??or i need to buy the 02 wrx rear tophat to fit them?? any advices???
