has anyone used both and can compair notes?

    I'm curious about

    sound,
    power difference between the two.
heat soak (with the delete is it more noticeable)
    effect on stage 2 cobb.

((I have had the spt intake on my car for a few months))

I've noticed no heatsoak, since it gets all the air from the nose. No filter getting dirtier even. Not much more noise than stock, but there is a SLIGHT difference. Well worth the few bucks for the elbow.

dude ef that gp moto elbow...seriously man, we rae talking about a damm silencer delete here, wtf. just keep the stock box and jack the silencer off. youare going bigger get cai and get tuned period. all sri's will heat soak..think about it. stock box no silencer will at least take some colder air from the fender

Yeah, I just pulled the silencer from my '06. Don't really see any difference between pulling air directly from the fender over through the stock "ram air."

EDIT: There is quite a sound difference though, you can hear the turbo from inside the car a lot better. Only a negligible power difference.

i agree. plus nuke (who has a gp elbow) was telling me how he has water spots, water had come through the stock intake dealy and sucked up onto his air filter.

water on my air filter doesnt really apeal to me.
