Squeaking noise

    whenever i drive, theres a squeaking noise coming from my front tires. but when i brake, the squeaking noise stops. anyone has any ideas why its squeaking?

    ya i would have to agree cause my rears do that and i know for sure i need to get new pads and rotors.:roll:

    i just got new pads put on about a month ago. and the rotors still feels fine. any other reasons why it would squeak?

    there are indicators on on the pad that squeal on the rotor when its time to change them...

    indicators sometimes referred to as "squealers."

    What kind of pads did you have put on? some pads just make noise. There are some products out there that you can put on them to reduce the noise but i dont know if thats a fix.

    my guess is there is a little slap in the brake pads.. did you put new hardware on as well....

    that would be my guess if your pads are new.. either that or you need to chamfer the edges a little so the wearing paint on the sides of that pads arent playing like a record player!!!
