recently my car has been making some squeeking noises from the front passenger side. this squeeks seem to be in synch with the motion of the car, so i am thinking its a strut. anything else it could be?

FYI: i am running really stiff coilovers, on stock struts w/ 120k on em.

so i am think ing of getting the KYB AGX shocks all round. who has these, and or has had them. please tell me what you think of them.

    Thanks

I have them with Eibach springs. The set that came with the car when I bought it took some serious abuse one summer up in Bemidji, and the only reason I swapped them out with new KYB/AGXs was because I found a good deal on new ones and figured it was time to renew all four corners. I bet they would have lasted a good long time, even longer if not subject to the abuse I put suspension through

IMO they're the best value struts you can buy. Next step up is good coilovers and those are $$$

Oh and did I mention I also know several rally teams that use them and they last a few rallies at least, sometimes whole seasons depending on if the driver can keep the car on the road the whole time.

Oh but you'll still probably get some squeaks and stuff, stiffer suspension is going to work things loose on the body/interior quicker.

The last set only cost me $250. The previous set was in there when I got the car. They usually go for around $125 a corner.

Could also be the springs squeeking in their seats. Hard to tell with out hearing it though.

See if you can reproduce the sound outside the car. Say be bouncing on your bumper on that corner; see if its in synch with the bouncing. Jack up that corner and grab stuff; see if anything is loose.

the coilovers sit loose around the strut, this i know. but i can barely budge the car by pushing from the outside. i may have to try jumping on the strut top to get it to bounce alittle.
