sold!!!! SSR Comps -- 17x7.5 +50 offset. 5x100 bolt pattern. ~12lbs/wheel; doesn't get much lighter than that. Rims were media blasted & powdercoated by Twin Cities Powdercoating (with powdercoat clear also) 2 summers ago. The color is similar to Subaru crystal grey metallic (CGM) depending on what light they are in. Sometimes they look lighter than my car, but most of the time they are a few shades darker. 3 rims are nice and straight, 1 rim has a small hop/bend to it. However, you would only notice this on a wheel balancer and won't feel it when on the car (even at speeds that would put you in jail ). There was light curb rash on one rim but that was before powdercoating -- no rash on the coated finish since I'm actually capable of parking my vehicle. Wheels come with Hankook RS2 tires, but you are an idiot if you plan to use the tires since they are trashed. Black SSR aluminum valvestems are installed as well. No centercaps. $850 for all 4.
Ok, I went and checked on the offset -- +50. No rubbing for you lowered wagon guys, even with wider than spec 225 tires (such as Azenis or Hankook RS2s).
These are sweet wheels (I own a set). Decent price, might be underpriced (though i don't know about the defect -- I can recommend someone who fixed my SSR for ba very reasonable price if someone wants). 12.6lbs They don't make these any more, the current wheels are 3lbs heavier.
Yeah, the "defect" is so small that I didn't even bother. If Nathan didn't point it out to me several years ago, I would have never even known. I priced these to sell -- I don't like to list stuff artificially high with a lower number in mind. I just want to get them out of my garage. But then again, I really like these wheels....maybe I'll just hang onto them instead, lol.
That is one option. These are pretty rare wheels, once you sell them, finding new ones again will be difficult. (Which is why I'm probably moving my SSRs to track/autocross only as soon as I can). If I had $850 (I don't), and wasn't probably moving back to CA in June, I'd buy them. You can really feel the difference of these wheels. You car will feel faster in every measure. You're probably dropping 10lbs a corner off of OEM (and even much of the aftermarket). That is massive.
hmmm.. I htought maybe after re-reading it with the wheel balance comment but... I barely remember what happened last week yet alone a few yrs back... ha ha
Just took some pics of the (dirty) wheels sitting in the garage. Pic #2 is the one with the small amount of rash that is under the powdercoating. Sorry 'bout the large size.
It's going to snow tomorrow. Buy these wheels after you wreck yours screwing around in parking lots tomorrow night.
Hehe. Seriously, don't use these as your winter wheels. Use your summer wheels as your winter wheels if you buy these
I will offer $25 off my asking price to any potential buyer who punches/kicks dream in the nuts. Video evidence will be required.
i love the ssr wheels. i already have rimz or id be buying them. i miss my rs 6 spokes too... deride is enjoying them on his turbo legacy.
wheelwheights.net says 13.0lbs btw. Still, there are VERY few rims lighter than that. I thought the Volk CE28s were lighter, they're not. 13.0lbs is still absurdly light. I think most of the wheels lighter are actually 4-spoke (like the tire rack F1).
I don't really want you to sell your wheels but I would be down to kick dream in the sack for a beer or something
