We at MNSubaru would like to welcome our newest mods, Esperunit, Mlgez, ScandiaWrx, Scuba Steve, Sogonerg and Prezawagon. It is time for the site to start making some new changes, so we decided to add some new mods. Also, Bikerboy and WRX1 will be stepping down as moderators. We will still answer any questions that you have, and we will still take care of the site admin stuff. We are going to leave the daily moderating duties to the new mods. This club is about Subaru's and having fun. We think that we really need to inject some new life into MNSubaru and we think the first step in doing this is getting some new mods involved. We chose a group of members who have shown commitment towards the club and expressed interest in helping the club grow. We did our best to choose a diverse group of members with different backgrounds and experience. The new moderators represent a cross section of Subaru interests: tuning, autocross, rallycross, old school and new school. There will some changes to the site over the next couple of months and hopefully they will make things a little fresher. Also, we would like to encourage people to step up and hold a event, help plan a event, or just get involved. We can have more events and get into some larger events, but as a group we need to work together to get things moving. We thank you for your support of this site and we would support any positive actions to make this site and club grow as a group. This would best be accomplished by members stepping up to make this group grow together. Thanks
:woot: Sounds exciting! Congrats to the new moderators! Hopefully 2007 will be one of the best years ever for MNSubaru and its member's! I'll be in touch Matt, it is Matt right(bikerboy)!?
Hopefully with everyone's Support as members we can make this a memorable year...Josh "Big Thumbs Up" on your Spring/Summer Event...Let me know what I can do to help and if anyone else has any ideas to help make this "Car Club" better, please let the Mods know...
I'm officially off the soap box. This is exactly what i wanted and what needed to happen..getting some diversity in leaders. I truly congratulate the new mods/leaders/etc. Its a step in the right direction. Now let the club proceed.
congrat's to the new guys. looking forward to the new accomidations. thanks to Wrx1 and Bikerboy for all the work!
Thanks for the support, it's appreciated. Everyone is encouraged to be active, propose ideas, host events, etc. Let us mods know if there's something we can do to help.
:cheers2: Congrats to all. wrx1 and bikerboy way to do the right thing for the club and get some fresh blood more involved!! With this new news I am acutally excited for this coming year on here. It feels like it is going to become a Club not just a great source for knowledge. Props to Josh as well with the spring event planning. I am more then willing to help with any events, just let me know what you need. :cheers2:
As said above, thanks for the support and if you have ideas or anything send a PM or something. Hope to see everyone in May at my BBQ thing (free food).
good stuff... BUT RAY!!! what the heck... ha hah a... got his hands in everything aftermarket to sell, no w in moderating this forum..God help us...ha ha seriously congrats to all !!!!
wait, before i get to excited about "new blood"...so mnsubaru's new leadership group(for lack of a better word) is limited to the following people: ?? Esperunit, Mlgez, ScandiaWrx, Scuba Steve, Sogonerg and Prezawagon it sounds like you guys truly want to get new blood, new leadership in cause you think(finally) there needs to be a complete change...but then you go on to say you guys are still the site admins which imo completely denies your ideas of getting all new people in to make decisions, lead the club, etc. can you please clear this up for me. i truly agree with getting new management, but if the same people are still at the top of the food chain i think, ultimately, much hasnt changed. further definition is needed. thanks EDIT: for anyone thinking i'm trying to stir the f'n pot, screw off. i'm completely just looking for a clearer definition of management here before i make any personal decisions.
Limited to? You want more moderators? different people? be more specific with what this means please. bikerboy and WRX1 have stepped down from any decision making functions from here on out. So this does not deny any ideas that the new leadership might come up with. There role is solely limited to doing one or two tasks with the site, thats it. There is no conspiracy here, no puppet leadership. they both would just rather move on at this point. Let me know what this big "thing" is you want changed that you're alluding to and I can be as specific as I possibly can about what is being done to change it, but I hope I have explained what's going on as throughly as I possibly can. If what you are inferring is that there is no effective change in leadership because Russ and Matt are still involved in administrative tasks then I'm writing this post to say that isn't whats going on here, the entire direction of the club is decided by the members through the guidance of the moderators and that's what we decided would be best. All we're trying to do is encourage more events, better participation and organization in these events and to give the subaru community more to do.
perfect. exactly what i was looking for zak. thanks bud. oh and for your first question...no i dont want more or different moderators, that group is perfectly fine in my book.
To all the new mods, congrats and good luck. can't wait to see where were gonna go from here. To the top!
Thanks for the hearty welcome. I look forward to dragging some of you guys out to the rallycrosses and also to the stage rally events, to work or run.
Yup Justin, Russ and I will still be here to oversee how the site runs and the money involed in the group. We are just stepping down as moderators since we both can't say anything without being attacked. There is no top of the "food chain" as you say just people who are dedicated to this site who all have an equal vote on how it runs.
First off, I would like to thank everyone that had good things to say. Again, this club is about it's members, and if certain members do not want to contribute positive stuff, then we just need to ignore them. Matt and myself have determined that the hate that is out there for us has limited out abilities to help make the site/group go forward. We encourage anyone to host a event, and MNSubaru will do what it can do to help out. Thanks again to those that helpout, and if anyone has any questions I will still help out the best that I can. Russ
i dont see any "hate" but i really really am glad to see the club move foreward, and am once again proud to be part of it.
what he said x1000 no one hates the club....some people were just sad that a club they loved so greatly was going nowhere for a long time. hopefully we are now finally past that and can get back to where we once were. w00t w00t party on. time to take back my #2 post whore spot. i cant stand this #4 shiite
man dont f=do that... i am closing in on your count since u didnt post as much... damn it now I have to waste more time on here mkaing stuff up about Ray and fong... er well not MKAING IT UP but revealing some truths about htem more and more so my post whoring will grow.... and man now I feel the love coming back into this place.....
you are in trouble. i only posted a handful(relatively speaking) of times in the last 14 months and i'm still at #4.....try to catch me:yumyum: ps- posts of worthless gif's dont count. wned:
Welcome new mods! this year will be the greatest ever in the history of mnsubaru. for no other reason than that we have more members than ever! each year this club has grown/improved. its gonna be fun. now that justins back i gotta watch out! he is coming for my #1 post whore spot!!!!!!
I didn't say hate the club, I said hates us (Matt and myself). And it will be nice if we can get the club back to the way it was before you even showed up, when the meets were real big. But again, we need less hand raisers and more people actually doing something. Russ
Thanks for bringing that up Justin. All things that need to be talked about. Will get back to you on that.
as apposed to worthless posts...... ha ha least mine amuse people!!! back at ya homey ..... I am just kidding with ya... or am I??? mwah ha wha hw ha
excuse me?? dont even start with that bs russ. there wasnt much at all going on the first year when i came here...someone needed to step up and make it an active club so i did. i'm not saying that it was all me that made the club fun and active when i was a "leader"(so please dont comment to this making it sound like i am), but come one man, there was nothing happening in this club the first year so i felt like stepping up and doing my part to make it active. 1st year -- not active, 2nd year (when i was year trying my best to make it fun)-- VERY active, 3rd year(past year)-- not active. again i'm not saying i made it fun...but please refrain from saying that the club was wildly active and we had tons of meets the first year....cause it simply wasnt like that. anyways, stop trying to start stuff and lets bring this club back from the dead!!! mlgez good point on needing to talk, we should have a meeting hosted by you and your counter parts...kinda like a kick off to a new start or something. ps- nathan, you aint neva gonna check me foo
OK the idea is to start clean so please if you guys need to continue this could we do it in private. I want us all to get off on the right foot here and move forward and onward.
Sure I will host a meeting and buy the food but guess what that means.... road trip. My place May 19th BBQ.... free food. Family friendly. HEHEHEHE But for real if we want to have some kind of meeting at my May thing we can do it but it is in Buffalo. I would love to host for everyone.
can you set up some cones for us to knock down in our yard?? lol burnn:laugh: EDIT: i mean for jason to knock down
How about the neighbors yard instead of mine....mine is bumpy enough as it is. Plus you might break your suspension. Not sure what the previuos owner did but it was bad.
