NOT, I repeat NOT disappointed. The downpipe makes the boost hit quicker and harder. I bought my car already cobb stage 1 and the difference from 1 to 2 is huge and definitely noticable. Pushes you back in your seat like you wouldn't believe.

Also forgot to mention good old boost creep and the LWG map. On stage one I was having boost creep when I pushed the pedal all the way down in 5th and 6th. Whether due to the stage 2 LWG map or divorced wastegate dp(I didn't buy cobbs, my DP is Invidia) or a combination of both, the boost creep stopped.

Just see if you can get a divorced wastegate DP and you shouldn't have to worry about boost creep. Some of the bellmouths cause turbulence that causes the boost creep, but i'm unsure which ones are more prone to it than others. I'm gpoing to go ahead and assume the cobb one is ok since they tune the AP in house maps with it.

the stocker will definitely cause boost creep. Its basically got a wall 3 inches back from the wastegate.

If you buy a regular bellmouth like the Cobb...the LWG Stg 2 map should take care of you.

cobb's dP is stinkin expensive. not worth it in my opinion. there is also some sharp ridges in the bellmouth that will make things more turbulent.

+1 Cobb DP is VERY EXPENSIVE. I got my invidia for 300 from istoreparts.com....I also had it 2000 degree painted from JetHot and spent about the same as the Cobb without coating or wrapping. I had Istoreparts.com ship it right to them and had JetHot ship it to me. You may also want to check imprt image. They have good prices on everything else that I've checked on. It may be worth your time to check them as well.

hey, i'm not trying to push the cobb or anything =] Just thought it might work better with the AP

(never bought anything from them in my life)

The BPM divorced wastegate pipe I have is le sexay. Not sure, but i don't think they're too expensive.

(nevermind i just looked, not cheap and not easy to find anymore)

Zak does make a valid argument. I'm sure the maps are tuned with the cobb dp. I didn't buy the cobb cuz of price and I wanted a divorced wastegate. If you want the highest accuracy for your basemap get the Cobb. I've had no problems whatsoever with mine but regardless I'm getting tuned in May so I wasn't too worried anyways.

Cobb AP is on my to do list. I will have to get a hold of Sogonerg for a quote. I was very impressed with how long the power stayed on when Pete (6MTizzle) gave me a ride last week. Thats what I need for they type of events I enjoy doing most. Thanks again Pete! He's in the spot light again.
