i liked this movie alot. it was worth sitting in line for 3 hours to see. it was also amusing to see people do light sabe battels in the parking lot. (i probably could have schoold them w/ my umbrella). i would say that this moie is by far the best of the episodes 1-3. and i would even say that it is equal in story quality (acting was not the greatest, but all the perdy lights distract from that) to some of the original 3 (eps. 4-6).

very fun to watch, and i will probably end up seeing it again int h theaters. next time there is a gathering of star wars geeks i am bringign my own lightsaber (1.5" steel pipe with green painted blade.) we will see whos light saber last the longest MUAHAHAHAHA:D

everyone is saying that is it for star wars.. but originally it was a trilogy of trilogies... so is Lucas gonna make the last 3??? (7,8,9)??? guess it would be hard to have 3 super special effects into the older style (which were pretty darn good for their time) and then the last 3?!?!

here's my .02 from a star wars freak...

    <font color="red"><font size="5">CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!</font id="size5"></font id="red">

episode 3 was a crying shame.

it's turned from it's rivaled plot of an epic war with romance as it's second theme, to a romance based movie with an epic war going on in the background. they stressed way too much about the story of love, where as they should've emphasized more battles.

too much is at a lost in this movie. the whole anakin turing towards the dark side went way too fast, and to having been blinded by his intentions, or feelings, the jedi council proves worthless.

another thing that gets me is the whole mace windu death scene. why is it that in every samuel l. jackson movie, you gotta hear the man scream like a wuss? his whole "Ahhhh!" is all too familiar. put some emotion into the career man, you're making millions! did he not sense anakin pulling out his lightsaber to slice off his arm? the jedi's mind can foresee a glimpse of the future, that's how they react to attacks and that's why we get all those shiny laser fights!

episode 3, as episode 2, disappointed me. in episode 2, anakin's cry baby-ness ruined the movie, as did the return of a talking jar jar binks. atleast episode 3 makes jar jar shut the hell up. one line woulda made the movie a classic! lucas should've had jar jar say 1 line atleast.

episode 1? well, the whole thing about jar jar made the movie crumble... but darth maul made up for it.

anyways... in my conclusion to this elusive, and ever long and boring commentary/criticism, episode 3 showed some average battle scenes. the use of the force wasn't implied as much, nor did the lightsaber battles stay true to themselves; you have great speed in some fights, and then just 3 minutes later, the sabers swung a little slower... then a few seconds later, they were faster than before... a lot of inconsistency. the plot was okay having him lose control of the jedi ways because of his anger and knowledge of padme's dying he's still a cry baby, but with a lot more power. for anakin to best count dooku, who'd single-handedly hand obi-wan kenobi his arse, it was pathetic how he lost in such a manner against old uncle ben. the final fight scene left far too much to have it end like that.

all in all, it was just another movie with a great fireworks display.
