so santa is buying half of my snowtires. but what will u do will u find a set of steelies and put tires on them or use the stock rims. also would u stay with the 17"rim or go smaller. i have a 05lgtwagon limited and was told that 16" rs wheels will fit my car?
16" steelies (I got mine from an 08 2.5i; discount tire or tirerack is able to get them for your car as well) or RS 5- or 6-spoke wheels should fit and clear your brakes. EDIT: I am incorrect.
I got my 6 steelies from tirerack for $55 a peice. 6 because I picked up two more after i crushed my 2 green ones.... remember that night. Anyways i dropped from 17' to 16' and I am happy I did.
if you can clear 16's which you can do it for purely the lower cost of tires in general, including winters.
