I was getting the alignment done on GC8 project. And noticed one of the driver side mounting bolts wouldn't tighten. Then noticed it wouldn't back out either. Turns out its a welded nut in the xmember has broke free. So after trying everything I could to get the rack off I finally cut the bolt head off. Good news I can see a little better what's going on. Bad new I can't get the loose nut out.

Basically looking for advice on how to either get the nut out or a way to get it welded back on.

Last option is new crossmember I guess.

If you cut the rest of the bolt off, can you get the nut through that hole then?

Don't think so the hole looks to be just to small. Plus I still need a way to tighten it back down with the rack on. Think I'm gonna need to drill a hole big enough to get a weld in there and weld the nut
