I am looking to put in new speakers, amp, sub in my ‘18 WRX. Anyone have any shops to recommend? I’m in the metro area. I know about the following through google searches: TC Autospot Mach 1 Audio Best Buy (very iffy on this. Curious to know if I’m being skeptical for valid reasons) I’d like to know if people have had good/bad experiences at either of these places or if you have another shop to recommend. Thanks for the input! Any other stereo upgrade advice for the WRX is appreciated too. Plan is to keep the HU stock.
I went to the Mach 1 in Hopkins the last time I had anything installed, they did a good job at what I thought was a fair price. I worked at Best Buy in high school and had them install a deck/speakers while I was there. Afterwords I did some shopping around on car audio and that was more expensive than other places, even after my employee discount. Also, if it is the base stock HU, you'll see a lot of improvement just by replacing it. They're rather under powered and will distort pretty quick.
