STI Engine - EJ257 - STI, Forester XT, Legacy GT- $3500

    Up for grabs is a refreshed Subaru EJ257 motor from a 2004 Forester XT. This engine code is similar among several turbo charged models: This is an EJ257 bottom end with B25 cylinder heads. This is compatible with 04-06 WRX STI (could fit 07 as well, but those have V25 cylinder heads), 04-08 Forester XT, and 05-09 Legacy GT or Outback XT.

    This bottom end only has around 100k on the short block - replaced for a larger power build for a customer/friend. The cylinder heads are 100% rebuilt, new valves and seals, camshafts polished, fully milled and decked, oil galleys have been cleaned, I had the journals hones (yes, I have a guy that can do that). New valve cover gaskets with brand new valve cover bolts. All AVCS lines, AVCS motors, oil pan, and timing covers included. Picture shows timing pin still in place - I have to order new AVCS cam gear seals still before I through the full timing cover on.

    I chased the head bolt holes, I have chased the head bolts, brand new head gaskets and all oil seals are new. Only OEM new parts were used, except for a brand new Gates timing belt with with a water pump. I cleaned the oil pump and resealed it as well. I am also installing stock heat range spark plugs if you want them.

    I am asking $3,500 with a core, if you don't have a core I will need and additional $600.00 for a core charge. As many of you know I have built quite a few motors and I have two heading to procing grounds - I even had one that dyno'd today at 450 wheel. :)

    Bump!

    I would be willing to trade towards wheels and tires - Looking for 215 or 225 or 235 45r17 tires (summer or winter or both). Not sure what I'd want for rims at this point.

    Also might be interested in some 04/05 WRX or STI seats - single stage airbags only please.
