It was better, but I have a cat on my downpipe and I think that really tones them down. Even after I installed the Blitz Nur it isn't as loud as I would like. I've had 3 catless systems on previous cars. Skunk2, Greddy, and Invidia and they were all louder than the Blitz on my current car with a cat.

I have this on my 06 STI and it sounds great! Nice little rumble when cruising or at idle so it doesn't bother you or the neighbors, but it definitely opens up when you step on it to get that subie roar.

I'm interested. Question. After doing some googling I discovered that it's 2.5". Doesn't seem to be an issue on a low to moderately powered car such as my own, but how does it mate to a 3" flat flange midpipe? Would I have to get some kind of funky adaptor or gasket to make it jive?

Read a few reviews of this thing and I'm very curious to try it out.

    Thanks.

I unfortunately don't have the exact answer. I have done some research and you likely should NOT run a flat 3" to a 2.5", you should use an adaptor. Often downpipes do slim down at the end so the adaptor may not be needed. After further research the Turboxs downpipe/midpipe (what is on my car) does slim down to fit a 2.5". All depends on the midpipe end.

I'll bring it out sometime, maybe to a BBQ or a cruise in the next few months so you can take a listen. The beast is down right now.
