I isn't have any background on that sti, but I lost that trim piece on mine. I had it off when installing the cold air intake (which it was pointless actually to remove that piece) and I didn't snap it back in properly. Flew off soon after. That piece is pretty cheap from the dealer though and comes unpainted in black.
