Just like the title says. I'm looking at the ACT Stage 1, ACT sprung 6-puck(there is also an unsprung), and the SPEC 3+. Just wondering what everyone else has and if they like them. I'm looking for something that can handle 400 wheel torque and will still retain a somewhat stock feel.
The couple twin plate clutches I have drove were fantastic... even though when the clutch is in it sounds like the car is going to fall apart.
I know Dream will say Spec...I have Spec myself (so-so not a big fan), but it isn't Stock feel with a stage 3 or 3+. I did some Research and talked to Andrewtech they love the Xtreme Clutches from Australia, but it cost $300 buck more than the ones u can get here...He also mentioned that it would have stock pedal feel. Xtreme is what I plan on going with next with my PPG setup
might want to try SouthBend Clutch through josh at LSE Performance. I love my stage 3 OFE set-up....smooth engagement Here's the soutbend site with a link to the OFE and DXD series. 425 for everything expect flywheel and shipping of course. http://www.dxdracingclutches.com/home.html
I'd say Spec. My brother's CF spec clutch on his evo is the bee's knees. Feels actually better than his stock one did.
I'm running the ACT 6-puck and extreme pressure plate. It's a really good combo. Finally the noise is going away from the throwout bearing. If you want to avoid that squeak, order a new stock throwout instead. It's relatively easy to drive for a un-sprung clutch.
