STi ran through house

    It's on channel 5 KSTP. I wonder if the driver was a member here and if so hopefully he is ok. They said he fell asleep while driving on highway 252 and went though a fence, travelled 400 feet and though the house.

    Wow! I'm glad no one got hurt. Are you sure it was an Sti? I didn't read it mentioned in the link at all.

    i doubt the person fell asleep and did this... i mean, it happened on what, friday night? hmmmm.... and of all cars, it's one of the newer imprezas, if not the sti. and after sleeping, if you hit something rough, like say going off the highway, wouldn't you wake up??? i've fallen asleep behind the wheel before, and those side marker things that go thud-thud-thud wakes me up instantly. how'd that car go another 400 feet??? i say he/she was racing at about 120+ and lost control, couldn't slow down in grass, and crashed. just my .02!

    Yep, it was a wrb sti. Looked like it had aftermarket rims on it. The car was actually in good shap for going through the house. It faired a hell of alot better than the house.
