Yes, I snapped the plug with the harness in it.. The top plug. You have one? You'd be a savior... I have an event tomorrow.

Mines not plugged into anything. What does it even do? Temperature signal?

Yes, temperature signal for the rear diff fluid. I didn't just snap the sensor though...I snapped the whole plug.

I drove it but I couldn't tell if I was actually losing fluid or not. Guess I'm not participating tomorrow :(

I have a full harness you can get the plug off of. just have to find it on it first.

I should have clarified, I don't need the plug from the harness, I need the actual plug that goes into the diff.

    Here's the part number: 27043AA020

And I discovered the 08 is different than 04-07 sti... The inner plug on the 04-07 sti has a 30mm head and the 08+ is 22mm and it doesn't look like the 30mm will fit.

Here is a pic... It's actually a temp sensor plug that goes into a bigger plug. Might have to bend over and buy one from the dealer.

So the plug threads are still in the diff case?

For the smaller plug, Yes, but they are in the bigger plug, so I can just remove the bigger plug.

Yup, I'm glad I at least don't have to pull the diff! Sounds like this is a common problem since the torque spec isn't very clear in the FSM. It was kind of stupid if me to torque that plug anyway.

I just put an 08+ r180 into my car and it didn't have the sensor. Just the adapter plug. I jammed an 3/8" NPT threaded pipe plug in to seal it up.
