Nice...if it doesn't come with the updated firmware, make sure you do that right away. Version 1.1c is out just in the last couple days.

ok, so i was able to install the utec in under an hour last night.

i did not install the abc, as i do not intend in the near future to be running that much boost.

also, on the map switch, in addition to the clutch switch leadsm there is a pair of short wires coming off.
    black and red.

there is zero documentation on these wires?
please help clue a noob in. what are these!!

    initial reaction to the utec.
    very nice improvement up top.
the boost seems to come on with more pizzaw, it hits harder...
i didnt push it with the base maps, just made a few pulls up to 5k

the car feels a little herky jerky arround 3k.
i'm guessing that this is where one needs a good tune, to ramp things up correctly.

RTFM! I love doing that. Your red wire and black wires are in there in the back couple of pages.

They are the leads for the additional accesories that the utec can trigger

Post up a log of the hesatation that you have and I can probably fix it for ya real fast. If it is just the crossover point stuff, that is real simple to fix. Also, the red black wires are for the utec's extra output (water spray, nitrous, etc). The black wire will go to ground, and the red will got to a relay to control what you want.

ty, matt russ, yes i figured it was the solinoid leads after getting logical and reading the manual for the 4th time. afaict nowhere are they directly labled in the manual, or the remote switch packsheet. i just looked at the pin outs, and figured it out.:D

my cheap as hell laptop should be coming in tomarrow.
i'll post some logs in the pm.
    thanks!
