I took my youngest out to the Daytona Raceway karting track this morning for the STi v EVO Time Attack Shootout grudge match. This was an inter-club event for charity. The setup was to have ten street legal STi's go up against ten street legal EVOs, and have five race prepped STi's go up against five race prepped EVOs. Race prepped here means Time Attack, Rally, Hillclimb or Drift. I don't think there were any rally cars participating (rallies here tend to be on gravel, so the cars are built accordingly) but the other three disciplines all seemed to be represented. Bright sunshine, long distance zoom, point and click camera and a useless photographer were all aspects working against me. Here are some highlights... (I've tried to keep the Evo content to a minimum, ptoo !) We only stayed for a couple of hours because it was getting hot. How hot was it ? Damn hot ! Stuart.
