I went to the dyno today at LSE Performance in Osseo, MN. It was for an autocross dyno day and we also did a comparison with a stock 04 WRX wagon. Here are the results: 172WHP / 210WTQ for the bone stock 06 subaru WRX wagon. The 04 WRX wagon was around 160 WHP / 170 WTQ the 06 Has a GP moto intake silencer delete elbow. We didn't count this as a modification but noted it anyways. my 06 wagon pulled higher WHP and much higher WTQ than a 96 Mustang cobra, that was amusing.
Do you have a scan of the boost vs hp/torque printout? I wonder what causes that big spike in torque?
^wishful thinking?...hehe...I think I know where this is headed Tom, make sure it is ok with Lindsay she might want her AP first
spike in tq seems to be common. take a look at these: they all have the same bumps in the same places.
Nice dyno numbers for a stock WRX. Maybe that bump is where the TD04 is at its highest efficiency when paired to the EJ25.
Looks pretty good. I think its peak boost also. The 2.5L has no problem spooling the tiny td04... it just has nothing up top. Here's my dyno graph from LSE a month ago (06 stage2) and a third gear ecuexplorer datalog from 2 weeks ago. As expected the initial spike in torque is when the turbo is fully spooled at about 3400 rpm. Meanwhile the HP slowly rises until boost starts rapidly falling at about 4900rpm... The "spike" isnt quite as abrupt as Zak's but that's likely factory tuning right?
