stock boost problems...

    my friend has an 02 wrx, he was experiencing boost issues and couldn't boost over 9 psi without a aftermarket boost controller, when he purchased the car it boosted fine but gradually started to under boost... he recently got a vishnu stage 1 tuned ecu hoping it would fix the problem but it persisted... i heard that it could be a piece missing in the vaccum line to the wastegate, or the oem boost controller is shot... have any of you heard of this problem?

    the restrictor pill is in the wg vac line i believe on the left of th etwo hoses, he didn't use a manual boost controller did he???:mad:

    well if the problem started to get worse over time, I'd guess that either one of the vacuum lines from the BCS has a hole or the BCS is going bad.

    The pill is between the compressor housing nipple and the "T" fitting.
