*Stockholm Motorsports Park karting meet*

So after today great success at Prokart I have been told to gather up a meet for the Stockholm Motorsports Park in Cokato. Here is there website http://stockholmkartingcenter.com/ for y'all to look at.

The meet is July 3rd from 7-9pm the price will be $12.50 per each 10 min run or we can get a 5 run set for $50 each run being 10 min also.

If you would like to join please tell me, also add your really name please. Also please please no hand raisers as that would upset this group as more than likely the group rate will rely on your attendance.

Side note I don't know why I am in charge of these as the Wagner family are karting nuts :dunno:

been there before it is a great place way different than prokart. as far as time you should factor in commute it takes a hour to get their and at that time a day their will be lots of traffic. oh and it is on a chicken/cow or pig farm so if you cant handle the smells of the country you may have trouble breathing. that is my 2 cents it is a way better go karting place than any indoor place in MN I have been.

 

I live in cokato! The facility/track looks like a lot of fun. I've never personally raced on it but it looks really nice. Maybe i will swing by and watch you should see if you can convince them to take your subie for a hot lap

 

Its a chicken farm, but its not on it but the barn is east of the track about a quarter/half mile so as long as the wind isn't coming from the east you don't smell it too much if at all.

 

I suggest a car pool, we can use our 7 passenger diesel bus. We can all meet at a park and ride off of the new 312 on 41 and 312.

 

Depends on which evening this is, but I'd be interested, especially if we're car pooling.

 

As a Cokato native I wholeheartedly support this endeavor. However I insist that Chet rides with someone who has navigation. Or a map. Or someone who has access to google maps.

Please though, as Chet said I need this to happen before July 4th. You can all do whatever you want after the 4th but I want to have one more day of boxing out Kelly and being the track obstacle before I take off for Kansass.

I see they have league racing on the weekends. Does that mean we can't run on the weekends or just dictate the time?

We will not be back to MN until July 2nd. We have a race event this weekend, BIR on Monday, then we leave for an event in Indy on Tuesday. So next week does not work for Wagner's.

Mid-week is fine for me. If it's on the 3rd I might drag my wife out. She hates all things driving-related but I'm going to try to change her mind.

She might be taking the day off on the 3rd so we could leave a bit earlier. But later works, too.

Do the karts accommodate "plus-sized" patrons? Most of these require me to rest my chin on my knees whilst sitting on my balls.

Since when did your wife start working the "lifestyle"? Granted, bulk discounts on 5gal pump tops of Astroglide is a bonus but it is not for everyone.

the karts their are adjustable to fit different sized people..way better karts than prokart.

 

Here is a video of the Stockholm track layout. The rental karts do not go on the front stretch (the part where the video starts and ends). They use the inside leg of the circle track. I guess the insurance company did not like how fast the rental karts were going on the main straight.

 

So i went to "Maple Grove" more like Osseo. My buddy and I thought the kart were really shabby lookin. Drove from Prior Lake out to Osseo so I could turn around. How about the Pro KArt in Savage. The karts there are supposed to get up to 55 MPH. But I honestly dont think anyone could hit those speeds there.
