Stud-friendly tire shops?

    I keep getting denied at tire shops because I'm such a stud.

    Ok seriously though, I have some studded tires I want to mount, but no one in my 'hood will do them b/c they aren't DOT approved.

    Don't know if this is the right spot to post. Please LMK some shops, St. Paul metro would be best.

    You'll have to find someone who will do them after hours, as they are illegal and a huge fine if on public roadways.

    meh.. I say if you are putting them on rims and not mounting to a car anyone should do it..

    Are you driving the car in and asking them to be mounted? Or are you just bringing the rims and tires in? If your doing it the second way it shouldn't be a problem.

    if I had of bought the tire equipment I was going to I would have mounted them no problems.. your car your money

    Yeah, I'm just bringing the rims and tires in. Just going to use them for ice racing/driving.

    Anyone else?

    Who's Jeff the alignment guy and where is he?

    That makes no sense, if they aren't going on the car and just being mounted to rims, they shouldn't deny you at all. Did you tell them that you intended to just mount them on rims and tires off the car?
