He flew out in front of me and my drivers side hit his rear bumper. Broke my front bumper, drivers fender, headlight, foglight, grill, hood, and inner fender. I really don't feel like posting pics right now.

Almost had the same thing happen to me yesterday on the way to work. The bimbo looked right through me apparently and then started to go....I honked, flipped her the bird and gave her the evil-eye all at once. I happended to be in my Wranger Rubicon which would have made swiss cheese out of her Toyota Tercel.

Well, some a**ho** thought a intersection had a 4-way stop when it was only 3. I had my left turn signal on and he is straight ahead, going the direction I'm coming from. He had the stop, one other car to my right had a stop sign, I didn't.

So, this ******* thinks as soon as I start to turn left that its a good idea to gun it right at me. I stopped in the middle of the intersection, he's stopped. I'm lifting my arms up like WTF are you doing? And he proceeds to gun it again while I am continuing my turn and drive around me.

Some *******s just don't get it. Too bad though, I could use a new front end. Mine has paint chips and dinged to all hell from highway driving.

so everyone who is in high school has rich parents? Seriously, what is with all the hatin on the young crowd here? What if it were some old guy, or a middle aged person...it could happen to anyone. Just because they are young doesn't mean they are dumb! I understand that you're pissed about the accident...but does everyone have to go around bitchin about young people. It's cool that you feel fine stereotyping people by their age...but if you did it by gender, race, or religion...im sure you wouldnt think it was okay (this isnt going towards the creator of the thread, but to everyone who has been hating)

Its not stereotyping in the least. Go to any insurance company and apply for insurance as a highschool kid with an sti or wrx. The rates are so high because younger drivers=less experienced, and in most cases, they are more prone to do stupid things because they think their invincible.

I'll admit that I was an idiot when I was younger, and it caught up with me. I rolled my '98 Legacy GT and got pretty messed up. It was because I was speeding, and over eager to impress people due to thinking I was the sh*t and I knew everything.

Younger drivers that do stupid stuff, (some dont, granted) raise everyone who owns that specific cars rates for insurance. It causes the older crowd, who are more mature, and more responsible in their driving habits to get pissed.

    Example #1: The WRX.

just because an insurance company says something like that doesnt mean its true for everyone. Males have to pay higher for insurance...is it cus we are crappy drivers? I havent been in one accident since i got my license because i have been responsible and sometimes feel like im the only one actually paying attention on the road. if anything, this thread should be titled "I hate crappy drivers". All people are capable of being crappy drivers and vis versa

I was just looking at the damage under the hood to see how bad it was. The radiator support is bent and the fender next to the battery is but not bad. Is this fixable.

    that sucks!

as fr the whole young drivers issue. you have gotta admit that people who just started driving are not as experienced as though who have been driving for years. as for the guys having to pay more it cause of "testosterone" guys are more likely to do dumb stuff. think f it kinda like insuring a vehicle. hondas a relatively cheap, nice, reliable cars w/ good safety rating. why are INSANELY expensive to insure? cause they just happen to be one of the most widely stolen vehicles in the US. are insurance companies being biased against hondas? no they are just trying not to loose money of something which carries more risk.

No matter how perfectly you drive, someday you're gonna get screwed. Just after I roll over 3000 on my brand new car, some middle-aged dumba** from Wisconsin "Thought he could make it" and ends up smashing my brand new car. Yeah. Still isn't fixed right. My neck hurts like hell, too. Anyway--it could be anyone, not just highschoolers. But I still hate high-school kids. lol

I'm 16 and Ill happily admit that young drivers are terrible drivers. Its not stereotyping, its a fact, younger drivers get in more accidents. Glad to hear insurance is covering it. Good luck getting her back on the road ASAP

not all young drivers are bad drivers. that is a fact. A fact is, yes, younger drivers do not have the experience or reaction abilities that men/women who are older do, and they cannot help that, its simple science. What they can do is compensate for such disabilities by taking extra steps in being safe and making sure that they do not make the wrong decisions that older people/adults do not have to rely on as much. I wont lie, i have ripped my car on the road more times than i can remember and i'm not saying that thats good or something to be proud of, but as we all know, everyone else has done the same thing(more or less). I have not been pulled over, crashed, or gotten a speeding ticket in my car because i try to make the right decisions as to the best of my abilities, and in no way am i saying i am invincible or that any of these things are not going to happen eventually, because chances are they will, and if/when they do, it will be for the right reasons. Looking back, there are alot of things that i would do differently as far as my behavior on the road, and i am making every effort to gain experience and knowledge of being a good driver, but i have to say that i am pretty sick of being stereotyped litereally as "a *******" because i am young and have a fast car. Some kids have a great deal of power given to themselves and its what they do and how they handle that responsibilty that defferentiates the kids who aren't mature enough to handle that power and the ones who are

Indeed! We were all new at this once. The problem is that not very many kids who drive nowadays realize that driving is a privilege - not a right.
They get in and think they can just drive like mommy or daddy

my parents taught me how to drive late at night when people were not around, and then when we needed to divert from people we went to the sticks during the day. I learned how to do all sorts of things, and how to handle a large variety of emergency situations before I even ventured onto a highway, I knew everything about what to do if I lost control of the car I was driving. This made me a better driver. Most parents are not doing this anymore - they would rather that Drivers Ed be the one teaching the kid how to drive.

    *sigh*

I got lucky and grew up in the country outside Northfield. I could drive a stick by the time I was 10 (tractors and big diesel trucks FTW) and by the time I took my test I'd been driving (unofficially) for a few years at that point. Not to mention growing up with go karts, 4 wheelers and other fun toys that all helped to teach respect for motorized vehicles.

Firstly, you are right, not ALL young drivers are TERRIBLE. I should have worded that differently. However, as you said, young drivers lack experience, this makes them WORSE. They CAN and SHOULD take extra precautions, but the fact of the matter is that they don't. Their are alwaysthings people can do to make them a better driver. Not talking on cell phones, turning downt he music, not having a deep conversion while driving. However, teens and beginner drivers all feel like because their parents do this, they can to. Because of this young drivers in general are worse drivers than experienced drivers. Now taking this majority and applying it to the group as a whole, it IS fair to say young drivers are bad drivers. Now, as I said before, they are bad drivers because they dont take these extra precautions, BUT until all drivers do, all teens will be categorized as bad drivers. The same thing can be said about Americans. We are not all Obese rednecks, however, we will be eternally known as the FAT COUNTRY.

Just because you have never had your license for more than a week without getting into a crash doesn't mean that all other 16 year olds do the same ;)
