2 flat tires and 2 low tires in one day. grr.. Granted I was really abusing my tires, but I didn't realize how easy they go flat in subzero temps.

I went to the audi club ice driving event today. I had my tires pumped up to 39/37 lbs this morning, by 11:00 one front tire was down to 30 and the other was down to 5. One of the guys was extremely helpful and drove me into town to pump up the flat. It held. I went in and pumped all my tires up to about 40 lbs. By 4:00 the other front tire was flat and the other was down to 25 lbs. I had to drive back to town on the donut and pump up the tires again. They made it home fine, thankfully.

But, overall I had a great time. The audi club was awesome as usual. And while my revo1s were holding air I think I put in some good times. They hook up pretty good, even at 40psi.

Another guy with an STI there had revo1s and he had one go flat too, and another lost some air. So, is this a blizzak thing? I'm wondering if stiffer sidewall tires hold up better, or are us subaru guys just driving that much harder? :)

Its a blizzak thing. Next year get the LM25s if you love Blizzaks. Stiffer sidewall, more of a "sport" compound. WS-60 is the ice tire.

Revos are discontinued for reasons. lol

I like the grip of the blizzaks, but beyond that I don't really have a love affair with them. I'll probably look at something more durable next time around. I was planning to buy ws60s for my wife's car, but not anymore. The little extra ice traction isn't worth the risk of them leaving you stranded in -10 below temps after hitting a pothole.

Its only the older blizzaks. The new ones are really good. An ES came thru the other day with a smashed rim and the tire still was on the bead perfectly.

never had any problems like that with blizzak revo 1s either, and I've ice raced them for longer time periods in lower temperatures.

Fill tires with nitrogen to maintain PSI in extreme temps?

If the LM25's are anything like the LM22's, stay away...stay FAR away. <- Issues are not related to the loss of pressure.

..and I have never had an issue loosing pressure on the LM22. (Don't ice race it, however)
