I got demoted to Gold. Meh, 50 bucks less. Been a while since I spent my full budget anyways. Did I read right where gold and platinum get 500 offers refilled now?

I got demoted to gold.. which I'm not going to complain since others lost everything.

I'm now silver. At least it's something I guess.

I feel like the new monthly report "form" is kinda comical. They ask about how much you've posted online and then have a box to write in a random story. Shows a spot where you have a tally for "impactful conversations" and two other things (I forgot already) but doesn't give you anywhere to put those in anymore. Am I missing something?

They also need to make their geo-fencing of events more robust. I attended the REI event over the weekend and expected to be able to pull it up as an event for checking in. I expected it to be listed in the drop down as it is a SOA event, no dice.

Silver here. Even still, I find it hard to complain about. However, if you are the next level lower and don't get any quarterly funds, that I can see people being upset about. My guess is the program got out of hand, grew too quickly, and they are looking to weed some folks out.

I'll add that I think these "tiers" will only encourage less honest folks to fudge their numbers/interactions on their monthly reports in hopes to climb the ranks...

I'm not sure what I did to be placed at the Platinum level. I wonder what the percentage of Ambassadors is at each tier.

I agree that this will weed out some Ambassadors as well as reduce the overall budget for the program.

Ruminations: If I had to guess, the Ambassador program probably doesn't bring many new buyers into the Subaru fold with the coupons. It may encourage some to buy sooner than they otherwise would, but I bet the discounts are given to those that would buy anyway. It seems like more a loyalty program than anything else. But, I'm sure Subaru has run the numbers and can continue to justify the program. I'd be curious to see that data.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

@sneefy I am with ya as well. Not complaining on being at Platinum.

Could be that I filled all my offers and we bought a 2017 Foz back in 2019?
I have noticed that there are a bunch of users who got booted or demoted though.

I'm only silver. We did just buy a 2019 Forester Sport, but I managed to get a VIP coupon. Not sure that'll help me with my level though.

My apologies if this is off-topic in this thread, but would it be possible for an ambassador with an extra coupon to PM/email me? I'm probably going to be buying another Crosstrek in the next week or two...

If this isn't appropriate, feel free to delete, thank you!

I want to know if any of you guys can throw together some kiddo bags for the LaXCruise? We have about 15 “future Subaru owners” that are attending on August 10th. Lmk!! Kthxbai

Unfortunately we are not allowed to give them out over the internet anymore per Subaru. Are you going to the LAX cruise?

I just got some coloring books in my last order, I'll see if can throw something together.

Sadly no, I can't make the cruise :( I'm on-call and basically can't be more than an hour or so away from a terminal that weekend...it sucks, but it is what it is. It only happens once every 6 or so weeks, and that happens to be the weekend.

Yeah I read online on some other forums about some changes to the Ambassador program...that's why I tried to phrase it in a way that any discussions wouldn't happen publicly, though I may have messed that up

Edited to add - An Ambassador wound up getting in touch with me, thanks again!

I am buying a new forester this week. If you have a coupon that that you send me, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did anyone else get a suspicious email from Subaru Ambassador? It's asking me to download a scanned document and unzip it.

There are, as of now, 10 redundant threads about this on the ambassador forums.

    Sigh.

It'd be Australian hackers, if you believe most people's general conception of who makes Subarus.

Does anyone know how to leave the program? I haven't been very active this year and don't really see a reason to continue with it? I'm not seeing anything on the dashboard either.

I am now officially a Subaru ambassador. They sent me a shirt with a card and it seemed like a consolation prize for applying but now I got an email welcoming me to the Subaru ambassador team. Pretty cool, now what?

Yeah, I've basically been idling along until my points aren't good enough to remain at a "paid" level anymore. Was a lot cooler like 3-4 years ago.

Pretty much. I'm just collecting and giving away swag at this point. Handing out the occasional coupon, waiting for them to boot me. After about 6 years, I have a lot of Subaru water bottles. Too much work to maintain platinum status. Fortunately, they waived point requirements past couple years.
