We are doing an open non-tuning dyno day Saturday April 1st starting at noon. The price is $60 for 3 pulls. The price includes wideband O2 and boost logging. The dyno is an AWD Dyno Dynamics. Let me know if you want to dyno and I will add you to the list. Anyone is welcome to come and watch. 1. kickin_81 2. Dynapar 3. wrxboy2003? 4. asiandude 5.
Hey Nathan, Do 2 pulls and on the 3rd one I can add a VF34 sticker to your car and see if the 3rd pull makes a difference? Who knows!?! I heard Stickers make the car faster...
or I can just bring my tools and while youa re watching remove that turbo from yours... ha ha ha I would love to get mine tested cause it feels pretty fast for what it is... but if and when I upgrade the turbo I will have to buy a decent bell mouth DP at least.. mine will be a little restrictive... works for now though.. so I want to see what all my custom stuff runs as opposed to buying all the cobb setup etc...
I don't know how it compares to a Mustang, especially in AWD mode. They may be fairly close. I know how it compares to a Dynojet in 2WD mode, we have tested a bunch of cars on a Dynojet versus ours. As far as versus a 4WD Dynojet, I don't know either. It always seemed like the AWD Dynojets did not lose nearly enough HP when you went from FWD to AWD. This is the same kind of dyno that places like Vishnu use for loaded tuning.
I believe a stock STi will get around 273 WHP on the dyno dynamics dynamometer. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm too lazy to search Nasioc.
Ok, I did a little research because I knew that number was a little high. One person on Nasioc got 232 WHP out of a stock STi w/ 4000 miles on the odometer, another person got 219 WHP stock on Shiv's Dyno Dynamics Dyno, and another person got 211 WHP with a stealthback exhaust. But another individual got 251whp/250tq on a stock 05 STi. It seems that most believe it is the REAL HEARTBREAKER for reading the lowest out of all dynos. Some people get good numbers, some don't. Let's just bet that a stock STi makes about 215-220 WHP on this dyno.
Nope. We just had Kurt's STI on ours and it did 228.7 whp peak. Average of both pulls was around 225ish. Wow I was the late post on that. I guess thats what I get for checking the chart before I posted.
i just got a road dyno - calculation sheet form kelly. its estimating me at 127 whp and arounfd 161 ft/lbs. i wanna see how accurate the thing is. plus i really wanna see when i hit max boost at and see how messed up my AFRs are lol. i cant wait for teh april fools
not sure if this is posted yet or not... what time is it starting?? what is the shops address?? I am driving from Jordan 40min south of the cities.. and want to know how to get there.... I am pretty sure I will be coming and getting 3 runs...
i'm in tentatively. I have a new job and may not get it off, i'll know for sure tomorrow, otherwise count me in on this, i want to see what's up with my beater....
I still plan on coming out cannot make it right at noon but maybe 1:00 or so if time permits I'd like to see how much power our "stock" car makes. Maybe I'm missing it but I still don"t know the location.
"We will be moving into our new shop in Rogers, right off of I-94 and 101, in a couple weeks." From their "hello" post. So where the hell is Rogers? If its close and I can install my exhaust by then I'll want to go. Do they have time for more than 5 slots?
Here's the address of the shop, guys: DB Performance 20998 134th Ave N Suite 115 Rogers, MN 55374 763-428-9882
roger is like 20 min before st cloud. lol i think. just take 694 west straight until you see 101 and then exit. they should be there somewhere.
Are non-subie cars welcome? I got dyno'ed at RS Motors a few weeks ago and would like to compare dynos.
It looks like its way out there! Here's a mapquest for the lazy: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...s&state=MN&zipcode=55374&country=US&geodiff=1
Ok, put me on the tenatively list. I won't know for sure until Thursday if I'll be able to attend (might have to work).
any chance that in between pulls i could quick adjust some nmbers on my laptop? i havent had any real chance to tune my car and the dyno day is already sat. so w/ AFR mapping and boost logging just a min bewteen each pull w/ the curves would be awsome.
I'd say the more cars that get dynoed, the merrier. I am planning to stay and watch all the dyno runs before I go home. Are we going to have to get in line when we get there or is the list posted the sequence order?
end time is the most important to me. I have work in the AM and wanna know what time it ends to ditch early in order to make it there lol.
i will be there around noonish. i am also curious to the end time since chux is gonna be in town, i wanna hang w. him a bit.
