well this is no longer a GI thread, its an FS thread. $8.07 PER. and we have 12 qts avail, as we are out of containers. Perhaps when you purchase, you could give back the containers? It would make it so we dont have to charge extra for containers!

 

I'm definitely interested but I wouldn't be changing it until later this summer when I'm closer to the service mileage (Aug-Sept time frame). I'm thinking you don't want me holding on to those 1qt containers all summer.

So pardon the n00bness, but what is so special about this? And is it just for the manual's or for diff's as well?

 

it can be used in diffs yes, its basicly a very high quality gear oil, good for syncros because of the lack of friction modifiers.

 

i picked some extra s today at the mories subaru dealership. thanks a lot!!

my first time changing the fluid went easy, the factory stuff was quite dirty, (i could post a pic), first impression is that moving in to gear is much smoother and it feels like theres less resistance when off the throttle and decelerating.

only one question though, i put in about 3.9 quarts and its a bit over the full line on the dip stick. i'm assuming this isnt a big deal, reasoning its a closed system and any extra will just go up the dip stick tubing. any opinions would be great.

 

Do you guys have any of this left? Looking to do tranny and rear fluid change.
