Has anyone taken advantage of the Subaru GTP program? I traded in my 2006 STi and got $3,200 more then the dealership would have given me. I was sad to watch my STi drive away, but love the new ride:biggrin:.
darn, only 2004 and up subarus http://www.subaru.com/finance-center/guaranteed-trade-in-program/index.html
Care to share your GTP amount? The figure the website gave me was actually below what KBB listed my trade-in was. Granted KBB isn't the most accurate... just curious.
GTP should be the same for any 06 STi, since they don't seem to take options or mileage into account. (either you qualify on miles or you don't.) At least thats how it used to work when they only ran the program once a year, there was some thread on Nasioc comparing GTP values and everyone with the same year/model got the same number. (I wonder if that will change for 08+ with the big $ spread from base to Nav packages.) And yeah, I usually take KBB and subtract 4k to get an idea of the dealer's actual offer.
GTP on my STi was $20,250. BP Subaru said they would have given around $17k. If I remember right KBB said $20,100(good condition) so the GTP was close. I agree with AP to take at least $3k off KBB's number. I got a similar offer from Jeep on my wife's car and it was under KBB.
