Yep.. seen first trailer when watching death race friday night.. I think it will be good.. they got the actors from number 1 (Vin D, Paul Walker). Just thought id share that there was a Impreza in trailer..
IIRC there was a post on here not to long ago, with the new 08 sti getting a full make over (body kit, wheels, paint) and that was going to be one of the main cars in the movie
oh oops.. missed that i guess.. looked like the theme this time is going to be rally? they done drift drag and time trial/circuit kinda thing.. i think it will adapt greatly cause of xgames lol..
yep, I remember a post, probably 6 months or more ago, with pictures of the build. mostly about the custom one-off body kit.
Wait, people care enough about these horrible movies to actually watch a 4th one? I didn't even know there was a 3rd.
It may be a cartoon but i think Initial D is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better...plus it has a STI Type R Version 5 in it
meh.. I will watch it for a laugh... it may be bad but arent half the Hollywood movies nowadays anyways...
actually smaller but nicer.... got me a 42in plasma now.. still have the 60+ but that wont be the movie screen
I actually really like the first one, despite the eclipse that has the 2.0 n/a engine and all the over done cars, they actually have decent plots...the first one did at least
I don't mind any of them. I like the second one because it had some American muscle in it as well. I will be at your place nate when this comes out.
they had a plot? sure, I saw tokyo drift in theatres.....but I didn't do it to see good acting/writing. I went to see some cool cars, and lots of destruction.
Actually 3rd one had more realistic driving in it. They had profesional drifters running those cars for most of the movie. I think the first one had so many funny lines in it, it was humorous. The 2nd was horrible, IMO.
I didn't think the plot or the writing was why people watched these movies. I've seen all three, and all three were full of cheese. But they catered to their audience: Teenagers obsessed with customizing their econoboxes and driving said boxes like tards. Each movie has shifted its emphasis slightly to reflect what is currently popular in car culture--the third one came out during an upswing in drift interest. Rally is popular, hell...subarus in general are more popular than ever, so it makes sense that the new STi is in the fourth movie. I don't see an end in sight to this series, much like the "Now, thats what I call horrible music" series of CD's--they will continue to make them as long as they make their money.
Well I will most likely be going to see the movie, maybe not in the theaters but I will see it on DVD. I said that the only way I would see the 3rd movie was if it had Keiichi Tsuchiya in it, as he is the master of drifting. Well it just so happens he did a portion of the driving and had a cameo in the movie, so I was suckered into seeing it. Now they are having an Impreza in the new one I guess I will need to see that. Good drivers and Subarus are worth seeing a movie for.
