My housemate just bought an '03 Forester today. He was looking at the Honda Element and the Hyundai Tucson, but since I bought my WRX in May he's caught the subaru bug. Hee hee... UNFORTUNATELY he probably won't be joining MNSubaru. He's moving to Colorado in a month. :emo: So sad.

Sorry... pics coming soon. He had to leave as soon as I started the post. Which means I probably should have waited to post.

I know, Subarus are addicting. I bought my first WRX two years ago and since than I had two more Subies in my family. I am trying to get my dad to buy Impreza or Forester.

My GF had never really considered one before meeting me. The first day it snowed this year it was a lock - no other vehicle will do for her now. :)

I miss my toaster. :( The outback is doing nicely though.

Yeah I don't even have snow tires and I still love the WRX in the snow. I really don't mind a little drifting anyway. So I'm still running RE-92's -- with AWD they're all I've needed so far, but that's because I drove a FWD car with A/S tires for several years before this. Maybe I'll go to snow tires next year.

The only time I got stuck in my Forester was in the center of my old apartment's driveway where 12" of snow collected. Other than that, it is very reliable on city streets. Personal opinion but snow tires are a must: it helps in all areas of acceleration, braking and turning.

I guess I like a challenge. I only got stuck once in 8 years with my FWD car. And I use that to rationalize not being able to afford $400 or more for a set of 4 snows right now...

It's funny driving friends and family around in Subarus in the winter. My roommate now wishes he had awd too, lol. A couple of my classmates are like OMG at my bro's FXT because they didn't know the Foresters came with a turbo.
