need different opinions on my 94 impreza L model. new fuel pump, new ignition coil pack, spark plugs, spark plug wires. every thing for engine to start. crank the motor, motor stills cranks but does not start. any other ideas? why it wont start?

check for spark? does it have it? Stop throwing parts at something before you know what is wrong. check for spark, check for fuel pressure. If it has no spark, probably a cam or crank sensor, or both.

well if it has spark then its not ignition related. Try holding the gas to the floor while cranking,it may just be insanely flooded. When was the last time it had a timing belt done? Remove one of the side covers and see if it hasnt snapped.

Try unplugging the MAF and IAC, if the MAF is bad it should start then.

Did you unplug them and try to start it? Are the plugs wet with gas?

yup, and yup. well i did take out the old spark plugs and they were wet. but anyways i replaced them, cuz they were old and i needed new ones. but on the bright side i did get it to run today for about 3-4 sec. looks like ill be needing a new or neused IAC sensor, and maybe a MAF while im at it, just to have one if needed from the junk. i jamed a screw driver into the IAC sensor to open it up, started on the first crank, reved up to 4000 rpm then slowly died out. so im ganna swap them out and see what happens. ill keep u guys posted. thanx for helping thoe

well i got the car to run. every thing i did didnt need replacing at all. i guess there was a short somewhere in the wires to make my fuel pump from working. so i didnt have time to check the wiring so i just ghettoly ran some wire to a fuse, and grounded it to send power to the fuel pump. im just gonna keep it that way untill taxes comes around and buy a newer car. so thanx for the help yall. oh and the car runs like it did b4, a DD beater:biggrin:
