Subaru underrated the WRX too!

    Based on the Mustang dyno readings from Gruppe-S, the WRX's WHP isn't too far behind the STI.

    The first one is 216 hp, while the second one is 184 hp.

    That's a pretty large gap for the same car.

    The first dyno is of a MY06 STI. It tops out at 216.
    The second dyno is of a MY05 VS a MY06 WRX. The MY06 tops out at 184.

    The gap between the STI and the WRX went from 54.6 WHP to 32.5 WHP. The WRX guys are liking it, but who knows if their tranny will. :?

    that wrx pull was after a tune iirc.

    Ahhh, gotcha.

    Doesn't the new WRX use the same tranny as the FXT now?

    You may be right, but AFAIK, it is stock. A tune will add an additional 25 WHP per Gruppe-S because stock runs very rich per Gruppe-S. :eek:

    ...and the WRX has longer gears than it did for the MY05. Here are the specs of the 06 WRX:
