Just thought i'd pass this on, and see if anyone had seen this.. David Higgins tweeted the link today (maybe earlier too). They want to break the standing record for the largest Subaru parade in honor of Matthew Noble Marker a rally diver.. It's being held in Elk Rapids, Michigan. September 16th, 2012 is the date.Would anybody be interested? You can read everything in the link below.http://www.facebook.com/events/121028641361640/
I hadn't seen this yet. This would be a cool event, first to show some support for midwest motorsports and second because you'll be "officially" a documented part of a Guinness record.
Yeah.. I think it would be a fun event to be a part of.. Just my opinion, but maybe a cruise could be planned! I'll be in Fargo at that point but I'd still like to do it
I was involved in the previous world record parade. It was a pretty good time! How far is Elk Rapids?
that's a lot of miles for the saabaru...can I take my DD and just chill in the back of the pack? Oh wait, I drive a saabaru soooo technically its not a subaru, and they might not allow me anyway, just like the last subaru world record parade
I'd love to go but doubt I'll be able to. The wife and I drove to Chicago last weekend for a wedding and it wasn't too bad of a drive. I need to get some quieter tires though or I'm going to go insane
If I still had a Subaru, I'd be at this for sure. I didn't know Marker personally, but I know a number of people who were close to him, and he really seems to have been one of those people who inspired the best in the people around him.
if only it wasnt 9 hours away!!! looks like an enjoyable event. if anyone goes id like to see pictures
