Subaru world record meet...kinda official thread

So I know alot of things are going on the weekend of July 11th, but people have been showing interest in this and it's best if I know if anyone else is coming to split hotel costs/drive with so I don't pass out at the wheel.

I'm probably going to be leaving on friday afternoon before rush hour starts 1-3pm. I can if needed, wait for anyone else that plans on coming with a few hours if I have to.

Just start with that for now i guess!

I was planning on going if all go's well. I live right off of 94 witch I belive you will be taking to get there. I will pm you later on if it's for sure or not. I know 9blackmax6 was planning on going down as well. Maybe we can get a subie train going!:naughty:

I'm not sure if I would be crashing at a hotel or not. I have family and some friends down that way. Plus the grilfriend may be coming with...

I'm probably staying with josh and his gf at their cousins place in Milwaukee. I have Friday off but I won't he leaving until around 7 maybe hopefully earlier

It looks like a group of us are heading down to HIN friday afternoon. We're in Rochester, so it'd be hard for us to coordinate a convoy. Im also the only Subaru going, but we're planning on heading to the world record thing saturday morning.

 

Hey ninja, I'm unfamiliar the route to Illinois from Rochester, at what point do you guys get onto 94? Maybe we can meet up and grab some lunch on the way.

 

They're leaving Saturday morning.. But I not yea we should meet up.

We get onto 94 somewhere around Tomah. We're leaving Rochester around 2ish, which really means between 3-4 because someone is always dragging their feet.

and HIN is Saturday night, we have a hotel room connected to the Mccormick, so it should be fun!

 

who is actually coming, and when are you leaving? roll call.

 

Me, and I got a buddy riding shotgun. I'm down to leave anytime, but I'd like to be there by 9-10pm Friday...the earlier the better

I think I am one of two Subarus going, and then a buddy of mine is driving down in his Escalade, and maybe a few other cars will be coming with. We plan on leaving ~2pm from Rochester.

 

I may leave around 2pm friday as well
But will split up once we hit eau claire, gon be staying over night there
Then early Sat will be leaving for Chi
If anything, I will chk back and verify

I will be going for sure 100%! I'm also very very good/close friends with the NOS energy drink rep for the midwest (I grew up with him) and he said he could get me into HIN for nothing. Not sure how many people he can get in but if you give me a head count I can ask him and see what he can do!

 

9blackmax6, are you guys gonna roll with us or are you leaving later? I figure the earlier we leave the better chance we can go grab some drinks and have enough time to sleep.

Also need to find out who needs hotel rooms!

this girl im taking with doesnt get off work until 7pm on friday and you guys are planning on leaving around 1-3pm so i dont think ill be rolling with the caravan (even though thats probably the best part) . i do want to meet up with everyone on saturday though after or even before the big meet festival. im 20 so drinks will be a problem unless i pre-game and order sodas the rest of the night :laugh: :squint: :emo:.
however, if a kind soul wants to wait around i will be on 94 be 7 at the latest and driving all the way to itasca.


also... did everyone register? it would be pointless to go down there if you havent registered, i havent yet, but i am planning on it tomorrow

Well....I may not be going this weekend.... I have to work on things with the GF. She's the most importent thing to me so that comes first. I will keet you updated on if I'm going or not.

the girl im taking with has family in greenville? or some place about 15 minutes from itasca, so were staying there, free room, food, and showers :biggrin: cant pass that up when youre treking down to chicago with $120 in your pocket. no lie.

 

If all else fails...have plastic, will travel.

all of us road trippers should meet up before friday, or on friday and snap a few pics and what not, i think itd be kind of cool to see all the mn subies in one place.
