    Hey guys,
Trying to remove my rear knuckles to replace a bad wheel bearing. I have gotten everything off including the nut for the main through bolt between the knuckle and front/rear lat links. I just cant get the damn thing to move at all. Ive been blasting it with PB, impact gun, me jumping on the breaker bar all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions of how to get it off? Worse comes to worse i can tackle the inside bolts and remove it with the links but i fear i will have just as much trouble getting those out.
    Thanks

I had the same problem when I replaced my wheel bearing. I ended up taking the hub out with the lateral link attached. Once I got it out I was able to use a vice and drive that bolt out. The rubber bushings on that bolt make it difficult to get out otherwise.

Cut it off at the links, then drive the stubs out with a gear puller. Get a new bolt and cover it with an absurd amount of grease when you install it.

Well im down a vice, damn cheap northern tools. Guess hammering the handle 2.5 rotations past tight was a bit much... haha
Got one side ready to go, both bushing sleeves were frozen to the bolts and would not budge, cut them off and used a punch on the rest, thanks for the tips.

Well Erik i got the bolts, nuts, washers, bearings, and seals. I just need to decide if i want to wait for some Group N bushings or get the OEM ones. Are there any places local to buy them? Also do you have a set of 8 oem in stock? PM me what it would cost. Thanks

Well as much as i would love to get those im talking about $90 for all 8 group n bushings and i already have the bearings. I just dont have the money to throw out on something i dont really need and can fix the problem, while making it work better then it was before, for far less.

I just put in new bushings....gotta love $32 bolts! Fortunately, I only had to replace one. I bought these: http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merc...e=355&Product_Code=NOL61382&Category_Code=801

They are a @#*$& to install since they have metal sleeves, but they are now in and ready to rock! Took me about 7-8hrs to replace all 8 bushings due to all the seized bolts and problems pressing the bushings in! I had 3 bolts seized. All three were seized to the bushing sleeve and one was also seived to the nut! I had to get a cut-off tool to cut the forward inboard bolt on one side...grrr

Haha yeah well they are kind of what holds the knuckle to the car so they have to be pretty high grade steel.
Im glad morries is kind enough to provide us with the discount. I got both outer bolts, washers, and nuts for $50. I had no problem getting the inner bolts out for some strange yet good reason. I think im just gonna go with the group n's. I hear they are fairly hard to install but i think im just going to take the knuckles and lateral links to D&G and have them all pressed at the same time so i dont have to deal with it.

Here are some pictures of the fun. Both sides are apart finally, just waiting on new bushings and maybe ill have some dynamic rear suspension response for once.
