After some researching today, I've come up with three possible dates! May 24th May 31st June 7th These are the available dates! Please vote on which date you would prefer to see the La Crosse Cruise this year! Vote NOW please! I need to lock the date down within the next week!! ...and...GO!
Also, I asked about reserving the baseball diamond for our kickball tourney. They said it is a "first come, first serve" basis. But I think that if we take a set of bases and a ball with, we could have it in the grass if the field is in use.
I'm working on that today. Need to start sending out pm's to get the list together! I'll let you know. It will be soon! Need to get crackin on the preperations.
The only day the we both can make it is May 24th! My wedding is May 31 and the honeymoon goes through June 7.
My mom would probably cater the event as long as the cost of food and beverage were covered. She used to do it professionally. The only thing is, the caterer was very convenient for the fact that everything was ready to go and we didn't need to bring all the stuff with us...grills/crockpots/coolers for drinks and so on...so I don't know which way would work best. The park doesn't have a grill big enough to cook for over a hundred people...I don't think. But, the caterer saved me a lot of headaches last year.
I can see where bringing everything up would be a big pain, I could allways bring a small grill and grill Fobia his sausage
The food last year was both good and plentiful. If anyone went hungry, it was their own fault. If she's willing to feed us again, I think we should let her. She did a great job. Stuart.
He does like his sausage HOT!! Are you having a fish fry again at the second ice race? If so, I'll bring some buns and tartar sauce! Lol.
I hope to be bringing both the nippers, but it's shaping up to be a very busy summer, which is why I'm not going to vote for any particular date. I'll just be trying my best to make whatever date it turns out to be. How cool would it be to bring along both kids in those Subaru suits ? Oh, and my trunk monkey is now wearing the feety suit since my youngest outgrew it. Stuart.
Probably not very "cool" at all! Lol, it's going to be 80 degrees! Hahaha. Either way, hope you can make it again!
31st would be the easiest for us since beth has that weekend off. but we would do what we can to make any of them work
I voted the 24th but either day in may will work. AMA superbike races june 5-8 you must have forgotten this. Go ahead and take that date off the poll And if it ends up on the 7th whos going to the bike races with me?......anyone:ugh:
Haha, these were the dates available when I contacted the La Crosse Parks and Recreations today. I know that the dates won't work for everybody, but I hope we have a good turn out either way! Is that at BIR?
Maybe, But isn't road america 160 miles away from Lacrosse? BTW: I voted for the 7th, but the 31st works for me as well. J
^^^^I think its closer to 200 miles from RA to Lacrosse. That would be 400 extra miles of driving on top of the 650 I'm already planning that weekend and I would miss the first day of racing. Believe me I wish I could do both.
I for 1 am def. staying in lacross the night of the 7th and will hit the bars and partyyyyyyyyyy. Maybe we can do some camping.
Already working on getting some reservations made at one of the local campgrounds there for us.
I knew a few people who live in lax and when they heard i was coming they wanted to meet up...maybe show me around...i am kind of nervous about camping i have never done it.
Well, you could maybe stay with them...or stay at a hotel, there are plenty...or give camping a go. Bonfires, smores, ghost stories...Lol! Seriously though, you'd need a sleeping bag. I'm sure that someone would have room in a tent if you needed too.
well i hope so..or i could borrow a tent froma friend but i prefer not sleeping alone ..i want to try camping hells yea! i have slept outside in my back yard and my grandma lived in a cabin on a lake and i was a girl scout so i think i will be fine and yes smores are the bestest! they make me smile and happy woot! can we roast wieners too LOL! ahahaha..
Of course! Rich will be roasting sausage! Hmm...I wonder how long it would take to make cupcakes for a 100 people...hahaha, Bee? Lolz.
oh yea I am down for camping. although I might not stick with the group (unless others want to come) - might run over to beaver creek valley state park on the mn side - not that far away
I can make 100 in five hours, I would just need the Tupperware to transport them right now I can only transport about 32.
