I like the mustard yellow on black. Great contrast! Lookin' good Em. Lookin' good. Me likes. I like the red lip, have you got the red trim on your grill too? Johnathan, the new wheels are sharp. Wow!

I got them with my tax dollars last year, but summer didn't last all that long. They have maybe 2000 miles on them
I know this is a non subaru but my set-up trumps!! Front: 245/35/18 Rear: 295/30/18 I flew this wheels in from Berlin...

O god. I should have bought those Tommy's :emo:.... O well at least they went to a good cause. Always liked them on a black or white car. More pics would be nice. Im still rockin my winter setup... grrr
I have a few more pics I can post up when I get home. (My friend took them with his DSLR, which he hasnt quite mastered yet) I might only rock these for this summer, so if youre still interested come winter, they could be up for sale again.
Not going to lie, that set up is sweeeeee! love the bimmer as well, great choice on the paint, i remember when you first had them coming over and were asking someone to photo shop them... turned out nice
I'm not having much luck finding the info I'm looking for. Trying to find if I can go with 235/45-17 or 245/45 or 40 - 17 on my stock BBS wheels on my 05 STi? I'm going to get the Direzza Star Specs and would like a more meaty (in width, not profile) look for the tires beyond the stock 225/45-17s. Any help would be appreciated.
I finally got everything situated with my 04 STi BBS for my WRX. I bought them from 2barsti back this winter and then spent the winter redoing them. Sorry for the poor cell phone pics! Tried to take the black paint off with out removing the gold with no success Then the wheels got in a fight with some paint stripper.... Then I got nasty and put them in the sand blaster. Magically they appear many days later..... They are wrapped in 245/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R tires. I will say this, they are very grippy
I run a 245/45/17 in the RE01R and its fine on the STI with a mild lowering. No idea lower than 20mm however.
You'll want a 245/40-17 fit's comfortably on the 05+ BBS as they are 17x8", and will be much closer to your stock gearing (nearly spot on) than a 245/45-17, which will be considerably taller. taller will wind up slowing acceleration, working the brakes harder, and giving you more sidewall flex than you want/need. you may have to roll your rear fenders to clear depending on exactly which tire you buy. i haven't seen much (read:anything decent) in a 235/45-17, but a 235/40-17 is a good size, slightly shorter tire to really give it a punch pulling out of a corner. although on the 6-speed, you'll be shifting more.
Better pictures of the setup. 265/35/18 Dunlop Star Specs on 18 x 9 +35 Advan RG-IIs slightly dropped on EPIC Suspension springs. Rolling in the back and a wee bit of camber adjustment will be necessary. Too much rubbing on big bumps for my liking. Also, my subframe was ajar (rear left wheel sticks out more than the right) from the factory. Anyone else run into this problem? I got it dirty on some back roads in Crookston during the Prairie Chicken mating season. I'm a nature geek. View attachment 21743 View attachment 21744
