These are super rare. Only set like them in the states ( I think ) Only have two because in Japan, front license plates are not only unnecessary, but also make you lose Kudos points from the Super #1 MEGA DORI DORI ULTRA SENSATION crowd.

First $25 bucks takes them. I will not ship them, you have to come pick them up.

my STI has pre threaded plastic in back for screws and I could not find anything to work for the life of me...I tried kits and everything. I ended up just buying some regular old screws to mount my plates front and back. So, obviously these are for the rear then, since front plates are frowned upon?

I just hope I didn't mess up the threads with the regular screws.

This can probably be moved to OT now.

These are just regular licence plate screws from Morries MTKA that I painted pink and glued an STI logo on an oil filter box.

I've had my mega ultra laugh for the day.

I was sitting around in the MTKA parts department on a Friday doing nothing (this happens alot when I visit). Everyone was busy doing their Morries MTKA jobs and Aegis and I were just sitting there watching. It is times like this when the lulz happens.

You'd be surprised what people will buy if you label it right. Ebay is a prime example.

I've often thought about doing something like this on IWSTI, those guys drink the kool-aid hardcore.

do they sell the screws up there for the STI? would those actually fit?-- because I do need some.

yeah, the price was ridiculous, but you actually had me fooled for a moment.

Minnetonka Subaru would have the screws.

<<And if you would have read my Location ahead of time, you would have thought something was up with these. Haha. Readymix=Jason.

I'll let you in on a little secret. If it has to do with body, interior panels, exhaust/intake components, turbos, engine parts, etc....they are all interchangeable for the most part. There are some slight differences, but the WRX, the RS, the STI and pretty much all Imprezas are like Legos, they are all interchangeable. There are some things that set other models apart. But for the most part, everything can be used. The STi is special, but it is still an Impreza.

If you want those screws, i'll just give them to you. Otherwise, MTKA has a huge bin full of screws back behind the parts counter and they likely have more of those in there. I didn't get a good look at the drawer, but I'm sure they have plenty.

If what I'm reading is correct, you have plastic inserts in the bumper for screws. These were likely installed by a body shop, as I don't remember seeing any on new cars on the lot. And a new bumper cover doesn't come with those either. I have them on my rear bumper now, and this is because I replaced my rear bumper and the body shop put them in for me. I could check those screws to see what they use, probably some course thread english measurement screw that you can find at home depot.

Are you the first owner? If not, there is no way to know if the bumper has been replaced. Mine was replaced because I wanted to replace it, I had accidently tapped a concrete support in a parking garage, and backed into an aggregate wall on the first Duluth trip so it was looking rough, instead of having it patched and painted, I opted for a brand new bumper. It wont show up on Carfax or anything like that since I just replaced it myself.

Yeah, you can have the pink ones, you're in St. Paul right? I'm down in Cottage Grove. Probably a closer drive than MTKA. If you wanted, I could look at those other screws and possibly find you some that are meant for those inserts you have too.

well I met the only previous owner and he said nothing went down with it.

no wrecks or anything on car fax.

who knows... its an 05' are we thinking of the same model year? the newer ones may be different as they changed the body up a bit.

no real problems, just trouble finding the right screws for mounting my plates. the preset factory holes on the front aren't even in line with the holes on mn plates, so someone drilled into the bumper. the back has set spots, which I think just need some screws.

THe 05 should be the same as the 04 as far as front bumpers go.

I just spoke with Ben from MTKA and it seems that now the rear bumpers come with these inserts. But the screws I have, the pink ones, are the ones that fit the rear bumper. Including the inserts.

It IS annual! Next year is their 10 year anniversary. It was really packed, considering 98% of the stores were closed!

And as far as donations go. I believe that each team is made up of donations from each individual...maybe we could get our own team there next year.

It was a 1/2 hour walk through the mall. The event started at 8am and we left by 9:30 or 10. It's sad how many children suffer though pain at such a young age. Many of them were under 10. The girl(Caroline) that we walked for was 7. She got to walk with the shark from Underwater Adventures...talk about the center of attention! Lol, she was eating it up!

Consider it done. We can get a team of t3hw00t people together for this without a doubt. I'd be 100% down. We can discuss it over coffee. ;) I'm off all next week btw.
