Alright this is really stupid but I have been working on my sway bar now for about an hour so and I can't get it. Is there some trick to get the screws into the passenger side. I got a swivel socket and that still aint helping at all. Any ideas would help right now cause it is really bugging me that I can't get this

Do you have the car jacked up with jack stands? Lifting the car up on one side will be impossible to install a sway bar. Both wheels have to be level with each other.

Make sure you have the sway bar going in the correct way. Install but don't tighten the brackets that hold the middle of the swaybar. Have the two brackets hold the swaybar in place while you align the ends to the end-links. Tighten the ends before you tighten the brackets.

Are you greasing the ends of the swaybar? New swaybar endlinks usually have to be greased so it won't squeek.

I got how to do all that but I am not even there. It is the ****e mount that connects by the fuel line and charcoal box. I can't get either of those screws to hold properly yet along thread right

Well I have given up on this. I really have and that is pretty sad. I can not get either one of those screws put in place and my arms are tired from holding that **** thing in place while trying to screw it in. Anyone here wanna give it a try for me that has a lift or doesn't mind working on there back? I got all the parts and hardware and am basically willing to pay right now cause I am so fed up with it. If anyone has some words of wisdom it would be much appreciated right now

Fuel line? Is this the front sway bar you're working on?

rear one...the fuel line is not like a fuel line to the engine but hose from the pump down to the tank. I will take some pics tonight of what I am trying to achieve if you still dont understand what I am talking about

The install of a rear sway bar is usually simple and straight-forward. I wonder why your car is any different. Is there a person you can get a hold of to help hold the swaybar while you working on adjusting it?

It aint the sway bar. I will take pics of what I am trying to accomplish cause I have tried expalining this to a few people and no one seems to get it. I will take some pics tomorrow since my camera is dead currently. Once again though it is two bolts that attach the mount to the body, not the endlinks to the control arm. They are 14mm bolts that both require a swivel head supposedly but that still doesn't really help at all since they are still at such a weird angle. One is right behind my fuel fill line that comes from the gas cap to the fuel tank and the other is above a couple of hoses that lead to my charcoal box, whatever that is. It holds up a couple of flanges that have wire attachments on them. If this doesn't clear it up my pictures tomorrow sure will I hope

I remember having the same issue. Did you undo the cover that protects the fill hose? I had to remove a 10mm nut and pull the cover off to the side to get in there.

BTW, for everyone, this is referring to the mounts, not the bar itself.

I take it that you are installing HD mounts... There is no known trick that I am aware of. I had a hard time, but after trying 3-4 times, I got it to work. Looks like you need to go back and try again, you don't have to have the car down, it can be on jacks for this part. Don't try to thread it with a socket, try to get your hand in there and start it with your fingers (I think that works for one of them).

finally someone figured out what I was talking about. I needsomeone with some tiny ass hands though to get in there cause my hand/fingers are abnormally large and can't qutie squeeze in there. Even with the protecter thing off the gas fill line I still can't get at that other nut to put it in. Any one of you guys got some tiny hands that could help me out

hummm.... I'm thinking of pulling my bar out to spray it and weld my brackets this week. You wanna stop by? I plan to get John and Martin over so we all can learn something.

I've done that right side bar install and it was a pain. Can't push the bushing up enough to get the bolt in. I'm thinking of unbolting the bracket and then bolt the mount onto it before the bracket to the chassis.

pull the charcoal box down to give you better access at the bolt.

the charcoal box has 3 bolts holding it in, 2 in the back and 1 up front.

I have tried doing it with the charcoal box down but that makes it even more difficult on my own it seems cause it pulls on that flange you are trying to screw down. I will meet up with ya fuji if you wanna try and screw my sucker down. I got all weekend free as of right now but that might change so let me know when you wanna do this. I wish I could play football but that might be a bit too much still after my accident that I had during the summer....still trying to let the plates settle that have been bolted in
