T-shirts, again

    Well, I have been doing some searching the past couple of days for a shop that can do some silk screening for us. I have it narrowed down to 3 different places. The prices are going to be based off of the amount of colors and what we want. Now for the groups part, what do we want?? Start putting up your idea's so we can pick something out. I will probably do this for a couple of weeks, and then put all the designs into a poll so we can choose what we want. What I have checked on so far, was a 1 color on the front and 1 color on the back, and we can get those for around 7-9 each (at a qty of 50 or so). Lets try to keep the design faily simple so we can keep the costs down.

    What I have for my idea is the us subaru rally logo on the back, and the mnsubaru logo on the front. I will post up some pics when I get home.

    good idea im glad this is up in the air again. like before i think it should be a simple shirt one color of fabric and one color of the design(per shirt)

    russ did you call coldside printing?
    we have used them for our marina shirts, and for the 3 day breast cancer shirts last year.
    the guy is pretty cool.

    here is my design. its simple color combos could be as shown, black with white lettering, blue with yellow lettering, blue with white lettering, grey with black lettering.

    I would be down with something like this, but without ANY design on the back. I've never been a fan of graphics on both sides of a t-shirt.

    Simple & understated = :biggrin:

    :+1: I also like the idea of making hoodies if it wasn't too big of a hassle. I would like to see the "MN Subaru" logo somewhere.

    MN subaru logo on the back, www.mnsubaru.com on one of the shirt sleeves for t-shirts that is

    left chest with the url on the hoodies. my 2 cents

    Keep in mind that every time you print on a new area of a shirt the price for the screening multiplies. Front and back costs 2x what front only costs. Front and back and sleeve would cost 3x.

    my dad knows someone who owns a silk screenign shop i could inquire about prices.

    I think it would be cool to have the MNSubie logo w/ URL over the left front. then ont eh back have some sort of design and some text ie "AWD, FTW" or some other flavor text.

    I have a blue with white lettering 'bugeye mafia' shirt... I love it...


    I think the plain website address would be better...

    or if you are going to do something on both sides.. do a little subarulogo onthe pocket area and a BIG mnsubaru on the rear...

    Ok, what I had planned was a big subaru logo on the rear something like this.

    We would pull out the rally team part, but just leave in the swoosh and the subaru. For the front of the shirt, I figured that we could just use our mnsubaru logo on the left chest area.

    Personally, I am not a big fan of putting the website on the shirts. I really don't want the group to be targeted if 5-6 people get busted doing something dumb, and they are all wearing shirts that say mnsubaru.com on them. I would kinda like to keep it descreet if possible. Again, I will keep taking ideas, and we can vote on something in a bit.

    I have received some quotes so far, and it looks like our cheapest prices is about $7 a shirt (with my idea of blue shirt, and 1 color front and rear). That was at a quantity of 100 shirts, so the price will vary a bit from there depending on the order. I guess keep the ideas coming, and as I receive more info I will post up what I know.

    I guess if there is enough of a response, we could go with a different color, but that will end up costing more in the long run. The more shirts that we get in a certain color, the cheaper it will be.

    Well, I have just received the rest of the information that I was waiting on, and it is about the ame as the others. I have checked 3 places and everyone is within .25 of each other. So basically we just need to come up with a design and a color. The sooner this stage gets done, the sooner we get our shirts. Also, all of the places that I have talked to will do hoodies for us also, but again it is just a design and a color we are waiting on.

    i think we should keept it simple either black white or grey shirts with either black or white lettering.. stuff thats not considered tacky. personally i wouldnt pay for a red shirt

    WWW.MNSUBARU.COM on the chest

    and just leave it at that

    I think that Blue hoodies with this on them [​IMG] in the back and the mnsubaru logo on the front would look good. Also the blue t-shirt with the same thing as the hoodies would look good.

    So I would say that I like the idea that Russ has.

    Come on people, if you want shirts start posting. Atleast give me a color break down so i can see what is more popular. If we can't come up with something, all the mods/admins will make a choice and thats what we will end up with. We could have shirts in as little as 2 weeks if people will start posting. Also, if it doesn't look like there will be a good response, I/we might just can the whole thing.
