If anyone was thinking of doing a tail light swap between 2004 and 2006 wagons be prepared for cutting, soldering and heatshrink tubing. As it turns out they use different sockets for the bulbs. Sounded like way to much work for a Tuesday night and esperunit and I called it quits. All we accomplished was breaking one of the retaining clips on both of our cars. Oh well, looks like a trip to the dealer.
Nope, we thought that to and struck out. The tabs on the socket don't line up and the blinker bulb is different.:emo:
completely not interchangeable. Actually I beleive the abs did line up, but the bulb sizes were wrong, bulb sockets didnt work in the other lights, harness was easy to remove on the 06, who knows where it even was on the 04. So I guess its pretty easy for sedan guys to swap, not really easy at all for wagons to do so. Maybe a 05 is different, I'd have to take a look.
from what everyone on NASIOC says, the sedans are an easy swap. I guess the 04 wagon just keeps the harnesses in an entriely different place than the 06 does. Oh well, now i just got to bake mine apart and paint them. got the OK from my wife last night so i'll probably do them one day in the next few weeks if i'm unemployed. Still debating whether or not to try to color the botom parts San Remo Red or get a red out kit that will jsut cover it up.
