my guess is some of the lower ones gave way and folded under the weight... or a combination of rough seas and weakened containers...
I am working on a project at work that must hold a gigantic diesel engine inside one of those containers while going over seas. The project was sparked after two of these engines blasted through the side of the container and sank to the bottom of the ocean. Can we say good bye to about $300k-500k each.:eek4: Each cylinder on this thing is about the size of a five gallon bucket:eek3: . and its a 16cyl engine.
that kind of thing happens all the time if the ship is in bad weather, they will just start tossing containers over board to save the ship so if you ever ship oversea's get good cargo insurince. more pics like this at www.cargolaw.com
lol thats funny....theres never anything good in those containers anyways...they're all probably filled with laundry detergent, toilet paper, and stupid **** like that... I got lots of pics like this with cars tipped over from train derailments..
