Brand new STI that was on the lot at Morrie's Minnetonka directly behind the customer parking spots. Apparently someone backed into it today. My money it was Fuji.
It wont be the last time this happens. That lot is a really packed with not alot of room. This coupled with people wandering around looking at cars its a wonder no one has been hit by people driving through the lot.
Part-out time, I guess. I like those wheels. I wonder how does that get worked out in a claim? Would the driver who hit the car have their insurance cover it, or does the dealership take care of it?
Last time I was there picking up my floormats a couple in a truck almost took out the backend of my new FXT as they came around the corner and I was backing up. They then proceeded to stop behind me, and stare at me.
That lot is a death trap. Way to close quarters for most drivers on the road these days and people drive way to fast through it.
It'll be sold as new, but likely at a substantial discount and with the disclosure that it was damaged. When I worked at BP Subaru we had a WRX that was in an accident on a test drive that was sold as a new car. Because it's never been titled, it can be sold as a new car but the dealer will need to disclose what happened.
It was probably the Snap-On truck that hit it. And Jason C is giving a lot of credit to someone by thinking they didn't just drive off and not say anything. And I wonder if it gets a little more care being painted than my Legacy door did at Morrie's Bodyworks?
