I am thinking of getting some ink soon, any shops you guys would recomend? I am thinking of getting something like traditional Japanese stuff. A koi or a dragon or something. I want to go to someone whos got some good experiance with that type of work. Any suggestions? Oh yeah in the metro area is best for me. Thanks
Fluid ink in St Paul 651-287-0966. http://www.myspace.com/fluidink Talk to Benny, I am working on side projects for him if I ever get the time to get back to it. He is very easy to work with, he has no issues doing full out proof drawings whether it be just one or several versions to get what you want. At first glance the shop has kind of a dark dingy look to it, However Chad the owner is a clean freak when it comes down to the work area and the equipment. The work areas are wiped down with alcohol before and after each session and as with any shop equipment is broken down and sterilized as well. In any case visit several shops and talk to several artists. Pick one who you get along with and one that is on the same page as you(so to speak). Keep in mind artist move around from shop to shop some times. Many people are loyal to their artist and will follow them regardless of the shop they are at. I refuse to go off a artist art work in a book, I want to see what it looks like in person pictures of fresh work are often misleading as to the quality.
Forever Yours in Anoka used o be awesome, not sure anymore havent been there for abot 2 years now. If you're in St. Cloud, Old Town is the place to go.

I have been contemplating on getting a portait of my sons face on my right upper arm and my daughter on my left arm. How much do those usually run?
