im thinking about ditching the water cooling part of my td04, too many leaks that keep popping up, too many hoses running everywhere, bla bla bla, i know other turbos can do this without a problem, anyone see why it would be a problem on a td04?

Where is it leaking? Ive had 2 TD04's and a TD05 on mine with no leaks using the old copper gaskets (except when plastic condenser tank nipples break off). If it leaks a smidge just wrench the banjo down a bit more. And use worm hose clamps on the hose. Those stock spring clamps suuuuuuuuck

Poor Eric.... good thing I replaced a lot of the hoses on my EJ22T swap. But then yes I have the Turbo heads so I have them lines sitting there just fine.

Go on, do WRX swap yO!

hahaha well.... I'm just doing it for EASE of tuning. Parts are cheaper and easier to find. I's lucky to have pieced this together quickly.

OT are the NEWER EJ22 headgaskets multilay metal?? the 96-98??

ahh ****z.... I thinks I need them to run my EJ22T WRX heads. The pistons on the EJ22T comes out the block a tiny bit... hopefully the NA EJ22 HG will keep them from hitting the WRX heads and are NOT TOO THICK. Correct?

you should be fine. make sure you plug up the coolant in/out on the turbo so crap doesnt get in there and mes up the cartridge.
