I substitute teach a few days per month and immediately jumped on today's assignment. The class was automotive tech (not sure technician or technology) at Anoka Technical College. Subaru of America provides 3 new cars for the students to learn on...nothing fun to be clear. 15-20 students per class. Quiet, respectful, and polite. Zero issues. All had pre-planned lessons to work on with a partner and their Chromebook. Attached are a few pics from the classroom. 30+ high school (juniors/seniors) students all in all with one female in the group. For fun, I had them write down their limited-budget project car...yeah, I know.
That is pretty cool actually, neat that Subaru sponsors something like that and keeps it low-key. Admit it did make me smile seeing a 1999 Eclipse and an early 2000's WRX on the dream build list. Curious if the students have any different reactions to the boxer layout being so different than the usual Straight 4, of various V-layouts?
