I have been trying to tie up the ECU wiring for my kit car but I keep getting the following codes:
I have seen online this come up a few times but no one has any idea what causes it. I have disconnected as much as I can to make the ECU power up, then reset and I still get the codes. I have downloaded a stock flash and put that in, still get the same codes.

Would someone be willing to put this ECU into there car and see if it puts the same codes up? Then at least I would know for sure its either the ECU or the wiring.

    Thanks,

    Erik

Sorry I also forgot to add that this is for a manual transmission.

What are you using to pull the codes? Have you tried to pull the rom? What is the ecu's # on the actual ecu?

I am using ECU explorer to pull the codes. The ECU is a 22611AH791.

I have uploaded the original ROM that was in the ECU as well.

Those codes should not be popping up. Use Learning View (from romraider) to scan the codes again. The standard definitions do not have those codes listed for the 04wrx stock rom image.

Nuke you ROCK!!!! I wonder if there is a bug with EcuExplorer and 04 ECU's. The other post that I had seen with this exact same list had been 04 WRXs.

Now the list is what I would expect:

    Temporary DTC(s)
    9 codes found:
P0340 CAMSHAFT POS. SENSOR A MALFUNCTION
P0463 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR HIGH INPUT
P1446 FUEL TANK SENSOR CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW
    P0691 RADIATOR FAN CIRCUIT LOW
P1400 FUEL TANK PRESSURE SOL. LOW
P0458 EVAP PURGE VALVE CIRCUIT LOW
P0447 EVAP VENT CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
    P1491 PCV (BLOWBY) FUNCTION PROBLEM
    P0230 FUEL PUMP PRIMARY CIRCUIT
    Memorized DTC(s)
    4 codes found:
P0340 CAMSHAFT POS. SENSOR A MALFUNCTION
P0447 EVAP VENT CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
P0031 FRONT O2 SENSOR LOW INPUT
    P1491 PCV (BLOWBY) FUNCTION PROBLEM
I am not running any of the stock Fueling. So I just need to find out what is going on with the Camshaft Position Sensor and go from there.

You can disable the evap and fuel ones.
Fix the front o2 and camshaft one

cam sensor and front o2 sensor may be no good.

Got it down to this. Now I just need to go in and remove these codes.

P1400 FUEL TANK PRESSURE SOL. LOW
P0458 EVAP PURGE VALVE CIRCUIT LOW
P0447 EVAP VENT CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
    P1491 PCV (BLOWBY) FUNCTION PROBLEM
    P0230 FUEL PUMP PRIMARY CIRCUIT

I still wonder if I have a bent valve, there is a very loud tick in the motor. I know that Subaru's are known for piston slap. I will have to do a compression test on it to find out.
